Great for a precursor to Wizard's First Rule
Terry Goodkind is so good at keeping your attention with just enough detail mixed with action. He makes you care about these characters that feel so lifelike. I'm going through all the books again so I can finish up with the new ones that he released after the last series of books ended. This book is a great way to refresh your mind about this world and also be a self-contained story on its own. Great for entertainment in a single session. Highly recommended!
