It really can be an endless summer — if you’re immortal. Though a vampire would be ill-advised to take a cruise to Bermuda, the possibilities for getting away from it all — and maybe snacking on some unsuspecting tourist — are many….
Sookie Stackhouse and her vampire friend Pam take a weekend getaway to Mississippi in number-one New York Times best-selling author Charlaine Harris’s “Two Blondes”. And when they end up in a shady gentleman’s club, to escape in one piece they need to do something that wasn’t on their itinerary — something involving a stage, a pole, and very little clothing.
New York Times best-selling author Katie MacAlister’s “The Perils of Effrijim” follows a demon whose vacation in Paris is disrupted when he’s banished to another plane, thus kicking off a crazy dimension-hopping road trip across Europe.
Protecting an heiress from supernatural hit men isn’t Cat and Bones’s idea of a relaxing vacation in New York Times best-selling author Jeaniene Frost’s “One for the Money”, but it could get worse. And it does — when Cat’s mother shows up.
Editors Harris and Kelner bring together a stellar collection of tour guides who offer vacations frightening, funny, and touching — for the fanged, the furry, the demonic, and the grotesque.

Having read several of the authors listed in this collection, I knew I would likely have a decent listen. I wasn't expecting the fully fun experience I had, though. This collection of shorts was so enjoyable to go through, I found myself wanting longer stories from these authors, and yet couldn't wait for each to be over and start a new one. I was happy to hear little blurbs about each of the authors, as several were new to me. The genre was familiar and exactly what I expected from the authors I knew of already. Have fun!
This was not worth the credit I paid. This was the most boring short stories I've ever read.
I purchased this to listen to the latest Sookie and for the Jim story by Katie MacAlister (I just love that big dog!) and what I got out of it was a few more authors I'm going to be reading more from! None of the stories are very long but they are all great! After listening to Ms. Frost's story about Cat, I immediately downloaded the first in her series and now I'm hooked! I'm off to look for the other authors too. This is definitely and 'Excellent' book!
This was a great introduction to some authors I'd not yet read. Of course, Sookie was the reason I made this purchase, and I really enjoyed the other stories--even laughed out loud a few times. I just wish all the stories had been narrated by Christopher Lane.
Maybe Mrs Harris likes those other author but I didn't. Maybe my hope were too high but the purchase wasn't worth it at all. Wish I could go back in time and save 20$
Inspite of its title and top billing, this is a collection of very short stories from several authors only one of which is Charlaine Harris, don't purchase if you are expecting her work.
Yes I guess I should have read closer but I'm not used to Audible being so deceiving....Not worth the money if your looking for Sookie...
The narrator is awful. I too thought this was a Sookie Stackhouse novel and not a collection of short stories; most of which Charlaine Harris did not write. Its not bad... just disappointing.
This is marketed as a Charlaine Harris book - but it's a collection of stories by other people that could not sell on their own. Aweful. I suffered through a couple of incomplete short stories, then deleted it..
