Favorite so far

Dead to the World is book 4 in the Sookie Stackhouse series. This has been my favorite book of the series so far.

In this book, we focused more on Eric, the Vampire Marshall for Louisiana, and Sookie's brother Jason. There were two main storylines running concurrently. Eric has lost all of his memories and needs Sookie's help staying safe and hidden until they can get him back to his normal self. Jason has turned up missing. There wasn't much of Bill, Sookie's (recently) ex-boyfriend and vampire, in this book and I found that I actually liked it better. I think I am totally over him. We got introduced to a new group of characters, witches and wiccans, and another group of shifters.

I am still interested in the overall story, so I think I will continue on to book 5.

Full of laugh out loud humor

I'm late on reading this series they've been out for a long while now. I've seen the series it was pretty good, but the books are really much better. There are probably thousands of reviews so I won't elaborate too much, I'll just say if your thinking about starting this series you will laugh out loud at some of the things Sookie Stackhouse thinks or does. Easy listen and the performance was A plus!!

Another great Dokie and "friends" story

As enjoyable as the True Blood series! Ms. Parker's southern charm is spot-on. A very enjoyable experience

books are short enough to keep me invested

I really enjoy the narrator's emotional telling. The author changed up the story which kept it interesting. Character development is shaky but good enough for short books.
