Still happily reading along...

Even though the series is a little inconsistent, it's still good and worth the time and money to listen. This book is basically a continuation of the last, in that the problems that began in the last book are really starting to manifest more here.

After 10 books, one thing that's getting a little annoying is the repeat of the premise behind the books each time. I understand why it's done -- so someone can jump into the series anytime, but wow it gets old.

Just keep getting better & more sup driven

If Sookie #9 & 10 DONT make you cry, you either1) have no heart, or2) haven't been paying attention to the good character developement that is so essential to great novels! The only thing I DONT like is Ms, Harris' obvious homophobiia showing in stark contrast with the compassion shown to, for instance the Romanov child: how can love as an emotion EVER be called sick?

Sookie, Eric and werewolves oh my

Another great book. Eric and Sookie's relationship evolves, but an unexpected visitor puts a strain on it. Another fairy and a few werewolves put Sookie into danger again. What is a woman to do?

Continues to be entertaining

I still love the interwoven humor Charlaine places throughout her works. This may not be as good as some of her previous works; but, it is still a must listen to Sookie fans. I would have liked more play and interaction with Eric's "father". Normally her character development is well done; but, I felt things were missing for both "daddy" and Eric's "brother".

Johanna Parker as always is a fabulous narrator and makes the characters come alive.

Eric and Sookie finally together but for how long

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, this series is better as an audiobook. The stories is action pack and never stops. A lot of memorable characters. Sookie is always in the thick of things. Always

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Sad, it is the beginning of the end between Sookie and Eric. Even though they like each other and understand each other, it isn't working out because Sookie wants to stay human and likes the sun to much.

Which character – as performed by Johanna Parker – was your favorite?

Eric will always be my favorite. He is strong, sexy and practical, and he is also a little naughty.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me sad that after all the time Eric and Sookie have been develping their relationship they will never be able to stay together.

Any additional comments?

AA+ series. Much better then True Blood.

Shakespearean Ending. Not To Be Missed.

These stories keep getting better and better with each installment. Beauty of love, horror of madness and hatred, family ties both lost and renewed. Of course romance and crazy fights to the death. Once again, this Sookie book has it all, and then some. Enjoy.

solid

Solid story line, slow burn. The voice acting is always good in this series and never disappoints.

Unimpressed

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I feel like the series has lost it's luster for me. The first couple books were amazing and I kept listening hoping I would get another book that would suck me in like the first couple did. Unfortunately I'm unimpressed. I'm taking a break from the series and maybe someday I'll get around to listening to the last 3 in the series. Maybe not.
