Publisher's summary

The first book of Day by Day Armageddon took us deep into the mind of a military officer and survivor as he made a New Year's resolution to start keeping a journal. The man kept his resolution and brought to us the fall of humanity, day by day. We see the man transition from the life that you and I live to the prospect of fighting for his very survival against the overwhelming hordes of the dead. We see him bleed, we see him make mistakes, we witness him evolve. The highly anticipated sequel to the best-selling underground cult classic, Day by Day Armageddon, begins where the first novel left off.

BEGIN INTERCEPT

Armies of undead have risen up across the U.S. and around the globe; there is no safe haven from the diseased corpses hungering for human flesh. But in the heat of a Texas wasteland, a small band of survivors attempt to counter the millions closing in around them.

INTERCEPT COMPLETED

Day by day, the handwritten journal entries of one man caught in a worldwide cataclysm capture the desperation--and the will to survive--as he joins forces with a handful of refugees to battle soulless enemies both human and inhuman from inside an abandoned strategic missile facility. But in the world of the undead, is mere survival enough?

Awesome personal account of the Zombie apocalypse

Where does Beyond Exile rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Well...behind Joe Mckinny and Max Brooks, J.L. Bourne has done a great great job with Day by Day. I truely enjoyed this book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beyond Exile?

The entire book was great!! What I remember most from this book is how i felt like i was the main character. The story, the format of the story, is so well done that its hard to stop listening.

Have you listened to any of Jay Snyder’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This is my first of a Jay Snyder read book. He did a awesome job.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

"With every tomorrow brings a new level of fear".

Any additional comments?

This is a must for any zombie enthusiast. This is a must for any military veteran who is a zombie enthusiast. The story is good and the main character is very well done. I dont see how you cant like it.

Great book, better than the first one!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, I've listened to a lot of zombie apocalypse books and this series is one of the best so far, story and narration are both great.

What did you like best about this story?

I enjoyed this book better than the first one in the series, just when you think the main character is getting a break and has more support there is a dramatic change of events and he has a greater struggle again.

What about Jay Snyder’s performance did you like?

Overall great narration

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was but unfortunately I never get a chance to listen to a book in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

I'm going to download the next book in the series right away.

One of the best Zombie books written

Absolutely loved the first two books. Such a great approach/style and story, would love to see this as a Netflix type series.

Good Book

The narration was great. It is a standard zombie story but it was well told and kept my interest. Will try the next one.

I enjoyed the first book more

This falls short of the first story, which was decent. I think that the narrator was incorrectly cast in both books and sounds like a much older man than the character. He does a OK job but sometimes sounds like he trying too hard to make scenes exciting or tense.

Loved the 2nd book just as much as the first

I LOVED the way Jay reads these books! He has a nice deep voice and when he changes it to do a "diff" person I totally feel that I'm hearing someone else. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I am sure I will find myself listening to this again after I get thru the rest of the books in my library.
