Publisher's summary

A rumor has persisted in the vampire world of a dark slayer - a woman - who travels with a wolf pack and who destroys any vampire who crosses her path. Mysterious, elusive and seemingly impossible to kill, she is the one hunter who strikes terror into the hearts of the undead.

She is Ivory Malinov. Her only brethren, the wolves. Long ago betrayed by her people, abandoned by her family, and cast out by everyone she held dear, Ivory has lived centuries without companionship or love. She has sustained her sanity by preparing for one purpose - to destroy her greatest enemy. Until the night she picks up the scent of a man, her unexpected salvation. Her lifemate. The curse of all Carpathian women.

He is Razvan. Branded a criminal, detested and feared, he is a dragonseeker borne of one of the greatest Carpathian lineages, only to be raised as its most despised - and captive - enemy. Fleeing from his lifetime of imprisonment, Razvan now seeks the dawn to end his terrible existence. Instead he has found his deliverance in the Dark Slayer.

In spirit, in flesh and blood, in love, and in war, Ivory and Razvan are made for each other.

For as long as they dare to live.

Amazing series

This is an amazing series. I have every book in hard cover and have read and reread them many times. The stories keep you captivated till the end. But why are they not keeping the narrators on point with the characters. It makes no sense to change the accents and then have them all wrong. If the characters are from that region then yes. Give them that accent. But the characters that are originally from the US shouldn’t have Romanian accents. I do love the male/female reading.

A favorite - tortured heroes, strangers to devoted partnership

Ivory and Razvan have such tortured histories and the way they grow together into such a devoted and loving couple is wonderful to read. They truly are partners. This audiobook really brings them to life - I love Ivory’s reactions in the later chapters.

I’m hooked on audiobooks.

Great

I love the way the author keeps to the story line and not skip here there and everywhere. I also like the narrators. The only thing I didn't like is that they have the American Women speaking with an accent. Looking forward to the next book. I hope the author brings out the hints that were brought out in this book about Syndel and Ivory possibly being related.
