Nothing special

I found this follow-up book on par with the first one. Nothing special.
I liked the narration. Book seems to have equal amounts of rape/abuse and zombie action.
I probably won't buy more books from this series.

so good

T W Brown's Dead:Revelations is the second book in a series about a zombie apocalypse and different perspectives of it. It continues in same style as first book, giving the reader multiple perspectives of the going ons. Its well written, well developed and highly entertaining- utterly addictive. I NEED MORE!!

Narrator does a fantastic job bringing the story to life. Really brought the characters' personalities out. Love it!

Oh....so....bad

I started this book several times since buying it and just couldn't get into the story. Finally on a long road trip it was what was downloaded so I gave it another go....I really hope this was a sale purchase because it simply wasn't worth the time. Multiple meandering plot lines, so many characters that I assume will come together in some way for the people who buy the series, but it was just too much work for not enough story to sort them out in this one.
Every woman's voice was a whine, come to think of it so were a lot of the men's, overdramatizing some characters made the performance annoying.
I like a good zombie\horror story. This wasn't one. If the author is planning to up his game for the next one good for him. I'll never know because I'm already old & don't have time to waste trying to sort out the couple of stories and characters that were fairly interesting.

Lazy, slow, somnolent

The story is slow both in terms of pacing and narration. There is an almost dizzying number of characters which is not good here as the narrator is unable to distinguish them in a meaningful manner as he does not possess the voices needed to portray and separate them. Hence, they tend to all sound exactly the same which makes transitions between scene and characters so important Unfortunately, there are no transitions so I find myself somewhat lost trying to figure out who is who. The narrator's laconic style detracts from the story. The first book was better. Some passion, some oomph to the read would dial this up a bit but as it is, it hits maybe 2 on the 10 graded excitement scale. Save your money!
