Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

Audiobook makes it a lot better.

This book is the most difficult one to get through in all of the Wheel of Time series so far. I kept trying to read it but kept putting it back down as it is pretty lackluster. The audiobook helped get me through all the politicking that occurs in the book. Performance is great and helped keep me adhered to the story. If you are struggling to get past book 10 I definitely recommend this.

Better than I remember

This was a slow read in my first WoT rereading of the series. Re-reading the series, this book was actually a lot more interesting. Egwene’s story and even more so Mat’s, are a lot of fun to follow. The Tupn parts are definitely great and there is a great payoff later in the series!

Good but less going on

I'd like to give a 4.5 if possible. Another great book in the series just a little less going on than the previous books. It was a lot more politicking than action or big scenes which may bore some people. Also the first book that Rand was not the main focal point. It really shows that these books are good when Jordan went this direction. I will say that even tho nothing big happened it seemed like there was a lot more to follow and get lost in.

This book goes way too fast

This book is great although i do hate when you start reaching the end of a series how fast it seems to go. Thank you Mr. Jordan for your amazing tales.

Fantastic Story, Great Readings!

Kate Reading and Michael Kramer's performances definitely makes a fantastic story greater. I have taken to looking for their readings and then deciding what story/genre I would like. Their consistency throughout a series astonishes me, and is the mark of true professionals. I unfortunately now am afraid to purchase other series as the readers aren't the same and pronunciations are different (even on the same reader).

The story is great concerning Crossroads of Twilight. Matt Cauthon has definitely stepped up from being an annoying character to becoming my new favorite, as he grows and matures whilst learning responsibility and still keeping his boyish outlook on life. All in all, a rest story!
