Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

Where is Rand?

Good performance but the story kinda disappointed me. Where is Rand? He wasn't in the book at all!

Very slow tempo

I expected a more action packed back book and that the characters had grown up but they are still all over the place but something keeps drawing me to it

I liked this more than I expected.

Yes it’s somewhat repetitive as we are seeing much of the story from the prior book in other character’s perspectives. But something about this installment worked for me. I was engrossed throughout. The only thing that keeps this from being 5 stars is the constant over characterization of men vs women.

Wonderful Performance

If you could sum up Crossroads of Twilight in three words, what would they be?

Well performed story

What other book might you compare Crossroads of Twilight to and why?

Any of the other Wheel of Time novels - consistent stories and performances

Have you listened to any of Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Kate Reading and Michael Kramer's performance is consistent with the high levels they have shown in other WoT novels.

absolutley wondeful

Michael Kramer has one of the best character voices I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. He allows you to see a character in full and allows you to understand them more than you would. Kate reading has a wonderful and involving voice she allows you to see scenes and interactions like almost no Storyteller I have ever listened to. Not only that but Robert Jordan is one of my favorite authors and just being able to have it come on the audiobook and just being able to be brought to life like that is amazing.

a little slow

This was not my favorite. it seems the author was trying to stretch the story.

Story is better when listened to than read

There were moments when reading the book that I had previously struggled to get through and expected a long, drawn out audio version. i was quite surprised that at the end of the audiobook there wasn't a single moment that I'd wish would be over sooner. I love both narrators!

Good story.... audio editing poor

Like the story... you do have to overlook the many times certain parts of the story repeats in this audio version.
