Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

This book is mostly a catch up book from Book 9

Would you consider the audio edition of Crossroads of Twilight to be better than the print version?

Yes, I LOVE Kate Reading! She brings each and every character to life.

Would you recommend Crossroads of Twilight to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to finish the series. If you've already come this far... might as well see it through.

What does Kate Reading and Michael Kramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I absolutely adore both of the readers. I just finished listening to The Host where Kate Reading also reads. Kate is extremely versatile in every role that she portrays.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book actually was rather neutral until the twist at the end.

Any additional comments?

This book is written in the past from what was occurring during Rand's cleansing. It was mostly from Elayne Trakand & Egwene's point of view.

Great story, disappointing readers

Great story, but inconsistent pronunciation of character names throughout the series is a real challenge.

Soooooo Bored... ... ... ...

What did you like best about Crossroads of Twilight? What did you like least?

I liked the narration. I liked that I could listen to it on 2x the speed.

Has Crossroads of Twilight turned you off from other books in this genre?

If this were the 2nd book, I wouldn't have touched the 3rd book. The fact that it's the 10th book, and everyone who has read past this book raves about the final books, will keep me reading the rest of the series. But seriously, this book is everything that is wrong with the fantasy genre.

Which scene was your favorite?

The final scene, because it meant the book was done, and I could move onto the next story.

Was Crossroads of Twilight worth the listening time?

No.

Any additional comments?

I love this series (5-stars across the board on every book so far), I hated this book.

Fourth time around

So sick of Perrin whining about his boring wife. No one cares. Elayne is snooze worthy as well.

this one is almost a skipper in the series.

Definitely one of Roberts weekend works absolutely little to no arc progression. it basically an entire book of character building.

Waiting is the hardest part

So as soon as things start happening it is going to be awesome. The stage is set and most of the plot lines are really cool but through this entire book things remained in a holding position. Each plot line takes a step forward so stuff is happening. We are just left without any climactic moments which is a bit of a let down. The narration as always is excellent.

One of the best epic tales of all time.

Robert Jordan paints a picture across this series. It is ashamed he died too soon.

Presented wonderfully

Good story with solid bones. Howeyer, I stopped reading the first time because the story got buried in fluff. I like color and depth but when at least 3 whole books worth of money grubbing can be eliminated to elevate the whole to greatness???? It leaves one wondering, A great story or a money grab???

narrator's

I've listened to this whole series and I've never liked the narrator's, but the last few books the accents have gotten horrendous, it's bad enough they pronounce the names of main characters differently from book to book, but these accents are awful
