Energizing

A good sequel...to me this title seemed to energize the series. Character and story development came a long way through this title. Action picked up quite a bit as well. The first couple of books were good but found I kept checking how much was left...with this title I was more engrossed in the story and suddenly this title completed. I am anxiously moving to the next book right now feeling much invested in the series.

Immensely enjoyable

I have loved the stories of the companions of the hall. They and their friends have been through a lot. I was happy to find additional stories, but didn't go in with any explanations. Had I done that, they would have been exceeded. The narrator has done an excellent job and the story made me care about characters who were essentially the enemy for much of the other stories. Highly recommend it, on to the next book.

i was a little leery about how a female narrator would accomplish such a wide variety of character voices, when so many of them are supposed to be hulking, gruff monsters. wow, did she pull that off. i was never once distracted by a character voice seeming out of place. obviously, i don't expect ANY narrator to adapt a "death metal singer's" rasp, especially if they are voicing a 5-book series. but everything she does is appropriate. i wish Salvatore would have hired her instead of a couple of the incompetent bumblers that have read a few of his other works.
the story overall is quite enjoyable, and resolves appropriately. there are some great characters, and web woven is entertainingly complex & twisted.

the voice is perfect for the book, and it was very fun to listen to.

Personally I think it was the weakest and slowest book so far. Not bad by any means. Not that good tho.

the seamless transitions between character voices and the narrative of the story

there's is nothing that I found about this story to dislike. the author and narrator do an excellent job of telling the story of the hated Drow race. allowing the audience to understand why the Drow are the way they are, evoking a deep sympathy for rhier suffering.

incredibly good

this series has had me enthralled since early into the 1st book, and it continues to drag me deeper and deeper into the intrigue, deciet, betrayal, and everything else that the drow are oh so infamously notorious for. Drow society has always been a staple in Salvatores main series following the renegade Drizz't, and this series has been a wonderful journey back to the underdark and society of the drow i have come to love, and expands upon it incredibly well. i would give this series a 15 out of 10 rating hahaha.

Immersive writing and acting!

As said in the title, this was a wonderful book and all around a lovely listen. The acting by the reader was so good! I wish I could give her six stars for her work, she is setting the bar for future listens HIGH.

Love it can't get enough. Can't wait for the next one. It's a must read.

Rosalind landauer has such a perfect voice.

I'm anxious to hear other stories she's read. I could not imagine another voice for these characters
