Publisher's Summary

They told David it was impossible - that even the Reckoners had never killed a High Epic. Yet Steelheart - invincible, immortal, unconquerable - is dead. And he died by David's hand.

Eliminating Steelheart was supposed to make life more simple. Instead it only made David realize he has questions. Big ones. And there's no one in Newcago who can give him the answers he needs. He found some of those answers in Firefight. Now he has to decide what to do with them....

Calamity is about what you do to fill your heart once you have vengeance.

    "An unexpected but brilliant ending"

All four books were amazing. Calamity ended like I never expected. It was a fulfilling ending..a little sad on Prof's side though but....in all..a wonderful ending..

    "Great reader/actor"

I love the storey and am never sure on switching from printed to audio, how it can affect the characters you create within your mind me. This actor is fantastic, the genuine emotion he displayed and read... Simply great.

"I liked this trilogy a lot"

Another great story from BS and very well narrated by MacLeod Andrews.
A satisfying end to the Reckoners series.
I recommend highly if you like Brandon Sanderson's books - very different to Stormlight & Mistborn but great in its own right.

    "Exceptional."

There is nothing more to say other than brilliant. There are few writers who can submerge you in a story like Brandon Sanderson. Loved every minute.

    "amazing"

I love sanderson so I may be biased but this latest novel from the reckoners trilogy is fitting way to end the series. I don't usually leave reviews, especially with a title like this that will doubtless have more then enough feedback to encourage others to dive on in. but having just finished listening I'm moved to comment on the fluidity of writing here and masterful performance from the narrator. in David, sanderson has created a truly unique character. one who stands apart from any leading character I can remember from other books I've read.

"Really came together at the very end"

Wow, did not expect calamity turning out to be ... Well lets just say did not expect that. The story was as no where as engaging as the first two but still it was fun listening to performance bringing the character and events to life. To be honest through out you'd think there is no way the author can explain calamity and all the other story unexplained anomalies. However, the author managed to tie everything neatly and satisfactorily at the end. I still would love another sequel although i doubt there will be.

    "Really good"

I need to change the definition of perfection, because this audiobook really deserves all the praise I can give it. The narration is perfect and the ending wasn't what I thought it would be.

    "Great series, perfect narration"

Quite often, you can have an amazing story that is ruined by poor narration. Luckily, this is not the case here. MacLeod Andrews is one of the best narrators I've heard in a long time. Definitely makes the book worth listening to, and brings genuine feeling and emotions where they're needed. Excellent choice for the whole Reckoners series.
The story itself, of course, needs to be great, and this series doesn't disappoint. Loved it from start to finish. I think there could be quite a few plot holes that could be picked up if I cared to find them, but I wouldn't want to ruin it for myself. Another excellent story from Brandon Sanderson. Well worth a listen.
