A perilous quest sends Emma and a few Guardians into the Underworld, where the unimaginable abide, to beseech the Prince of Darkness himself. Lucifer. "Still a great story"

I like the second installment of this series. There is a lot of struggle in this one, but I am still hooked.

Would you try another book from Cameo Renae and/or Susannah Jones?

I don't know... Having this as the first, I may not..

Has Broken Wings turned you off from other books in this genre?

Yes. Indeed. I was okay with the half angel/human thing, but now...

What about Susannah Jones’s performance did you like?

The beginning of the book was crazy captivating.. I wish it was followed through with

Do you think Broken Wings needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

It does and I won't read it... I thought it would be a good purchase, so I purchased book one and two... I didn't even get through the first...

    Any additional comments?

Eh.. Disappointed, I wish I could get my money back for this..

    "through the pit of hell"

The author leads us through the levels of hell to ask Lucifer for his help to fight against Lucien, who is killing the Nephillim. When Emma and Samuel finally make it to Lucifer's living quarters, they meet Lucifer's son, Ethan, with whom Emma bonds. According to prophesy, she must chose a side....light or dark....

"Not as good as the first"

Emma is awfully whinge-y even when she is accomplishing something. A lot of thoughts and angst when actions could portray it better, in my opinion.

    "Cliché. Sucked. Didn't finish. Returned."

The author was FAR too old to voice a 17 yo girl and didn't bother to differentiate between character voices enough to matter. Save your credit!

What disappointed you about Broken Wings?

I couldn't figure out if the writing was just so bad that the narrator couldn't revive it or if the Narrator was just so annoying that she ruined the book...either way it was really irritating and I can't understand why it has so many good reviews!

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The story itself was good...in the hands of a better author, it could have been amazing.

Would you be willing to try another one of Susannah Jones’s performances?

My first reaction is to say absolutely not! But...maybe, just as an experiment...maybe she wouldn't be so annoying reading a well written book.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Broken Wings?

I would cut back all her silly swooning at the most idiotic times...it's so random, her life can be in mortal danger and she's talking about how cute some guy is? WTF?

    Any additional comments?

I had to force myself to finish listening to this book, it's TERRIBLY written and while I gave the second book a chance i'm not sure if I'll be able to make myself read the third.

Would you try another book from Cameo Renae and/or Susannah Jones?

From Cameo Renae yes, not a fan of Jones

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The way the story line intertwines with mortal and immortality. A 17 yr old girl being portrayed as what would appear to be a 13yr old

Would you be willing to try another one of Susannah Jones’s performances?

    No

Do you think Broken Wings needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes, there's more to the story
