Jane welcomes a visit from Molly and her daughter, Angie, who is about to prove she's the most powerful witch in Everhart history. From the Big Easy to the bad bayou, from the open road to a vampire's lair - with Jane Yellowrock, it's always a given: have stakes, will travel.

Been reading since I was three. My long commute prevents me from reading books so I turned to audible and haven't looked back since!
I liked this story but didn't love it. it wasn't billed properly in the summary and didn't have the usual Jane Yellowrock twist or reveal. It just felt like there should have been... more.
Can't wait til puberty hits. Molly and Evan will have a great time. Maybe they'll send her to Jane. Ready for the next one. She could have helped Jane in Shadow Rites.
this was a great story and if you've never read a yellow rock story prior to this or you want to test the water this is a great one to dip your feet into. it has all the interest and magical / shape shifting that is all the other longer stories. I have been a way from Jane for a few years and now I can't wait to revisit all the books in order
Terrific story. An enraged light dragon lays siege to Jane's house. All of the action taking place in Jane's house makes for a tight and suspenseful story. A lot of "growing up and learning to handle your powers" (Angie) added. My favorite of all the Yellowrock short stories / novellas.
The always listenable Khristine Hvam has really got the little girls voice down pat.
Tell us about yourself!
love this character and her weird life. wish the author would write longer stories again. the shorts are interesting but I really crave a good long novel
I love the Jane Yellow Rock series a and this book was no exception. It kept me on me seat through the out the 2 chapters and I can't wait for the new book in the series.
I've read this before in one of the compilations but it's okay because the audio of this series is always better. Great narration.
Love that Angie Baby.
"First Class as one expects from Faith Hunter"
I love the Jane Yellowrock series. Faith Hunter is an excellent writer and I am addicted, I have read all of the Jane Yellowrock books that have been published.
Faith Hunter has built a wide ranging world inhabited by strong well developed characters. This particular story deals with Angie-baby learning a moral lesson and was well worth the read.
