Publisher's summary

In the Ichidian Universe where The League is law, most live in fear. We fight back. Welcome to a world where corrupt assassination politics dominate everyone. It's kill or be killed. Welcome back to the future…and meet hell's new breed of heroes.

Devyn Kell spent his life in service to the League until he learned of the double dealing and backstabbing that was costing innocent people their lives. Refusing to play those politics, he became a Runner—someone who makes sure planets get the weapons, medicine and supplies they need to survive. May the gods have mercy on any who get in his way, because he definitely won't.

Alix Garran is a woman on the run from a past she can't escape. Signing on to work for Devyn as a System's Engineer, she finds a cause she can fight for—and a man she can respect. But as Alix's past catches up to her, and Devyn's old enemies turn lethal, they have to fight together…or fall alone, in Born of Ice, the third bestselling League novel from Sherrilyn Kenyon.

Best listening ever!!!

I had the pleasure meeting the at a comic convention about 2 years ago and was given my first book Seize the Night (the Dark Hunter Series), since then I have been totally hooked of all her dark hunter series. Now, I have been seduced by the League. I advise to get them all.

Writing by formula

This is the fourth book in the League novels that I've listened to. I started with the first, Born of Night and I thought it was a really good book so I started listening to the others. I've come to the conclusion that by this point Ms. Kenyon is writing by formula. Take the same basic scenarios, change settings and names (most of the time), and repeat. Considering how much I liked the first book of the series, I really had higher hopes for this book. Considering that this book is supposed to be the second generation from Born of Fire, the stories start out nearly identical, making it very hard to keep listening to. While I love a good romance, I also expect innovation in the action parts of the story. Here's hoping further books get better.

Loved this book

What did you like best about this story?

If the have read the other League books you will get a real kick out of this one. Time has past and the children of the original books are all grown and getting into trouble of there own and finding love.

sure. although the League series is starting to just sound like the same plot, different characters... it's still entertaining especially if it is being narrated by Mr. Fred Berman.

Loved, Loved, Loved!

Would you consider the audio edition of Born of Ice to be better than the print version?

I have not read it, but I tend to like audio books better than reading books. However that being said, I loved Fire and Ice, In Other Worlds, and that does not come in audio..I read all three stories from that book in a weekend. I truly enjoy The League Series books!

What other book might you compare Born of Ice to and why?

Born of Ice is much like her other League Series books - to which I have listened to them all. I am looking forward to the new one in May about Darling. I truly hope it comes out in audible format, but if it doesn't I will read it on my Nook as I have already pre-ordered it!

Which scene was your favorite?

Love them all - Sherrilyn Kenyon has strong and very likeable characters. I have listened to this book 3 times, and I am sure there will be a fourth soon.

Great story

This next chapter explores the next generation of hero’s. The sons and daughters of the main characters from books one and two. If you liked the first two books, you’ll love this story as well. There are similar themes as to the earlier books and the fun, charming personalities come off the page. I highly recommend this book and won’t include any spoilers—read for yourself!

All good things!

I own the complete series in paperbacks and have read them multiple times so, yes excellent series and each story is definitely kick A** adventure! Aside from the first book’s narration being not so awesome this and book 2 have redeemed themselves on that front. So again I say all good things!
