Here's a job to strain even Anita Blake's capabilities: raising an entire graveyard of 200-year-old corpses.
When Branson, Missouri, is hit with a death wave - four unsolved murders - it doesn't take an expert to realize that all is not well. But luckily for the locals, Anita Blake is an expert in the kinds of preternatural goings-on that have everyone spooked. And she's got an "in" with the creature that can make sense of the slayings - the sexy master vampire known as Jean-Claude.

"When Anita Blake's boss at Animators, Inc., informs her that she's expected to raise 300-year-old zombies from a field of jumbled bones just to settle a land dispute, she's understandably annoyed. But as soon as she arrives in Branson, Missouri, to do the deed, the job gets more interesting. A psychotic sword-wielding vampire starts committing multiple murders in the area, and Anita must call on Jean-Claude, her powerful fanged suitor, for help. As always, Anita prevails over the undead, keeping Jean-Claude at arm's length, clearing the cemetery land of an ancient enchantment, and nailing the vampiric killer in one fell swoop." Anita keeps on kicking butt..... and grows in her powers, new men in her life seem to complcate her life more than she does... start with book 1...
Bloody bones is my favorite Anita Blake book because it incorporates both her personal life and professional life. Some of the later books I feel have been too focused on her personal life and have been greatly lacking in The mystery aspect of her professional life. The best part about Anita Blake is that you get a great "who-dun-it"as well as an awesome sexy romantic supernatural story. Bloody Bones provides both of those, it's a great edge of your seat thriller with the mystery wrapped in. Then you get the really erotic sexiness of her desire and the hesitation she has about crossing over into the monster's world.
Yes. I enjoy this series and this book. The characters are intriguing and the adventure makes a great story.
Ms. Alexis does a wonderful job! She is one of my most favorite story tellers!
good story, lots of action
ending was excellent but the whole book was suspenseful and enjoyable.
Yes I have listened to several and this was just as good.
Love the Anita Blake books, really enjoy Kimberly Alexis
This is another one of the great Vampire Books out there by Laurel Hamilton. I couldn't stop listening to it but couldn't do it all at one time. A must read.
The depth of each person in the book. Kimberly gave it that extra punch.
Yes and yes and yes and yes!!
First let me say, I loved this book and this narrator. Unfortunately I HATE the narrator they replaced Kimberly Alexis with in the more recent releases. Audible in it's infinite wisdom will not set up a way for me to get those books out of my "recommendations based on previous ratings". Because I rated the early books so highly they feel that they HAVE to recommend the later books in the series based on those ratings. I've emailed Audible asking for a fix for this and got no response. At this point I don't think there is one book in my recommendations that I haven't already read/purchased someplace else or that I cannot stand the new narrators. So in order to get some new recommendations had to go back and trash a whole bunch of books that I love. This truly sucks and is something I did NOT want to do. I'm blaming this on Audible.
no, its just easier
anita, is my favorite character. she strong, short, curly hair just like me with an attitude the size of gothem.
