Another great book in the series.

I can't tell you how much I love Edward and Mara's love. I love the angst and how is spans so many centuries. We learn move about Edward's and Mara's past in this book. We also learn more about the Queen's evilness and jealously. We learn a little more about Sandra and how she fits into everything. We also learn a spoiler teaser about her that will probably not be revealed until the next book. We also got to see a special "event" between Edward and Mara which I have been waiting forever for. Alas we also see how duty has kept them apart. I can't wait to see what happens next. I just want the Queen to die!!!! The Sara does an amazing job bringing the character to life and keeping the listener engaged. # Audible Obsession Review.

Interesting

This is the third book in the Black Rose Series. This is an original and complex story. Unfortunately, I haven't listened to the second book in the Series. The storyline is great, intriguing, and gripping. Mara and Edward's story is beautifully written, romantic, dark, and twisted. Sara Dunham did a good job with the narration. #AudiobookObsession

Wow

This is a deep and complex story with a timeless love story. It is mesmerizing and intriguing to me because I haven’t listened to this rest of this series and now I will need to go back and listen to them all. I really enjoyed the narration on this Sara did an amazing job.

I absolutely love these books!!

I love the story between Mara & Edward. Their love is so deep... I was unsure about reading this one but am very glad I did. I just couldn't see how Edward could love anyone else.

Captivating and keeps you wanting more

In the third book of the Takes of the Black Rose Guard, K.L. Bone takes us deeper into Mara and Edward's world and their relationship. This book shows us the relationship between Queen Clarissa, Liza, Mara and Edward. And we get to see more of Queen Clarissa and how cruel she can be. We see how little regard she has for her daughter all because she doesn't believe in love. We also learn more about Lady Sandra and start to wonder more of who she is and where she comes from. I can't wait to read more about her. Also we get to see more of Sarah and what happened to her after book 2. We learn more about secondary characters such as Jake (who is one of my favorite secondary characters). We see the relationship between Mara and Edward grow and and fall. KL Bone sure does know how to give you all the feels in the world just to shatter them. Can't wait to read Shadow of the Rose.
