Publisher's summary

Vampire Queen and demon son - together they will wreak havoc and total destruction. Or at least, that's what the prophecy says. When a sex-seething succubus focuses in on Ella Grey, a half-breed vampire and her Shadow Hunting partner, Micah McGregor, a power is released neither can control or comprehend.

A chain of events is triggered, forcing Ella and Micah down a shadowed path riddled with unrestrained passion, violence and betrayal. The truth of Micah's demonic origins will reveal a heart-breaking conspiracy within the Shadow Agency that once swore to protect humanity from vampires and demons. Ella and Micah are proof that nothing is as it appears.

WOW! This one is good

This is a non-stop thrill ride from the moment the story starts. Ella and Micah have so much chemistry!! Their fighting and back-and-forth banter was not only entertaining, but down right sexy. I was immediately drawn into the story from the very beginning and couldn't put this one down. I was all too disappointed when it came to an abrupt stop. I want more!!! This is a great paranormal romance book that reminded me of the older Anita Blake books (back when the series was good). I loved this one and can’t wait for the next installment.

5 Stars!!!

Enthralled within the first couple pages!

Blood Lust Rising is hot, fast-paced, enticing, intense but also fun and full of vampire and demon action! From the very beginning the book pulls you into this fantastic world from the very first chapter and doesn't let you down until the last. Blood Lust Rising has a unique plot and good world-building, a good romance story line and realistic characters. I really fell in love with the characters of this book.
Ella and Micah are demon/vampire hunters. They have to work & train together. Ella is convinced that Micah is out to get her kicked out of the agency they work for. Micah thinks Ella is dangerous. Both are all ways picking at each other and fighting. The tension between them is intense. Ella and Micah kick some major ass in some cringe worthy fight scenes. The characters came to life on the page. By the end of the first chapter I was already a little in love with Micah and Ella both. I would be hard pressed to say which one I liked better. The chemistry between the two of them was sizzling; seriously tingle worthy. I refuse to divulge any more info so I can ensure I don't spoil the book for you.
Overall this read didn’t let me down one bit and met my expectations, I can’t really think of any negatives comments except that I wish it had been longer, but that is just me being greedy for more steamy Micah and Ella action! I hope audible picks up book two of this series soon!

PHEW, AN EXPLOSIVE PNR LISTEN THAT TICKS EVERY BOX

Right from Chapter 1 - it's BANG and you're transported headlong into a thrilling, action-packed listen that'll have you spinning, reeling and cringing at the awesome storyline that contains a multitude of paranormal entities, intrigue, mystery, secrets, plot twists and a hot sexy romance between the likeable H/H whose chemistry was 'off the charts' right from the start and only got more and more intense.

You'll find yourselves drawn, or should I say thrown, into all the well written action as Ella and Micah's bitter-sweet love/hate relationship begins and you'll be entertained by the funny banter between the two uncompromising enemies. Then, throw in a 'supposed' Succubus coupled with 4 missing days of sexual pleasure and they awake on a blood (and other bodily fluids) soaked bed and absolute chaos follows the H/H as their worlds, lives and beliefs have been changed forever.... along with some soul shattering news.

A wonderful cast of characters inhabit the well developed world set around a Prophecy about Ella and Micah, and together they must fight - fight for their lives, the lives of loved ones and their love. It's an unpredictable, non-stop, fast-paced, roller-coaster ride that'll spew you out at the end panting and exhausted but having been thoroughly entertained and desperately ready for more, more more and not just because it has an ongoing storyline but because it's just soooo YUMMY.

Worth a credit? If you're a PNR fan then this is an unmissable 'must have' beginning to a new exciting trilogy that's got Vampires, Werewolves, Succubus, Shape-Shifters, Demons and, of course Hunters so you get plenty of fangs for your bucks and it's a WELL WORTH IT credit score.

WAS HE STARING AT ME BECAUSE I WAS NAKED,

OR WAS IT BECAUSE I WAS COVERED IN BLOOD.
This is some kind of psychedelic dreamy writing. Devlin is like interpreting her dreams, her sex dreams. Like a dream, it does not follow any pattern. It is easy to see why Fayth Devlin does not use her real name. I would not want to claim this either. The language is all descriptive and flowery and includes visions of her getting laid. She often wakes up in places she has never been before and she does not know how she got there and then she remembers, oh yea, I was screwing this demon and his hard on was big and he filled me, ramming me harder and harder, but ...

THE ONLY PERSON IN MY HEAD WAS ME.
WAS I INSIDE HIS MIND?

The narrator talks in a whispery voice, as the script calls for.

Smokin!!

Just prepare yourself for this one because it's HOT. The chemistry between these two main characters is scorching. I do love a story when the characters cannot control their sexual desire and Micah and Ella are loaded with it. Then lets throw in the continuous battles with the bad guys. This was a paranormal story just the way I enjoy it and I'm looking foward to more from this author. For me this was a credit well spent.

Action Packed Paranormal Romance

Ella and Micah are demon/vampire hunters. They have to work & train together. Ella is convinced that Micah is out to get her kicked out of the agency they work for. Micah thinks Ella is dangerous. Both are all ways picking at each other and fighting. The tension between them is intense. Ella is a half vampire, Micah thinks he is all human. Their world changes when they run across a demon and a little lust spell. They both wake up in a motel they don't remember getting to. Covered in blood and other fluids, after 4 days of continuous sex and not remembering any of it, they both are a little freaked out. They also notice that they have tattoo's....matching tattoo's. When Eli, Micah's brother shows up and opens the door, Ella knows that something drastic has changed. She is a full vampire and Micah may not be totally human. So the book is all about Micah finding out who he truly is, Ella finding out how and why she is a full vampire and why they now can't stop having sex or just being near one another.

This was a great roller coaster of a book. They start with the 2 main characters fighting and arguing continuously. You can feel the sexual attraction while they are fighting. The demon they encounter just wakes them up to the attraction that was already there. The sex scenes were great and if they weren't having mind blowing sex they were kicking ass and taking names against other vamps, were's , and demons. As their love starts to grow and they figure out some of the things going on in their world, they know what ever is out there, they can beat it together. This a wonderful action paranormal love story....stress on the action both on and off the bed.

Liona Gem was good with the delivery of the story

Let's just start here, shall we?

This is basic story writing. Two people start at a point in their journey where something happens and they have to deal with the consequences, even if they don't like it.

Instead of actually showing a developing relationship, what we get is the heroine and the hero being forced to want to sex each other up all the time and, since we were told what we missed (or what was simply left out of the book), we know they train for combat together. Apparently the idea of being together repulses them and they do whatever they can to avoid each other. But that doesn't work because they just have to have sex. All the time.

It's weird... like coming into the story after half of it has already happened. The back story seems interesting enough that I feel like I missed something. Like a prequel, or what should have been the first book. We just jump headlong into the pre-climax and soon, climaxes are all we are given. See what I did there?

I'm not gunna lie, I kind of wanted to give this book a 2. The sex scenes aren't even very hot, they're just descriptive enough to be scandalous but with book seems to suffer with trying to figure out what it wants to be.

Vampire queen and demon son! Cute!!

This book was anything but cute... intense is more like it... but the whole vampire queen and a demon son prophecy was cute.

Nice story that follows to partners of the Shadow Hunters, who fight like cats and dogs... come across a succubus that awakens their locked powers. Our heroes are soul mates and literally go into mating frenzy for like 4 days...

This is bad for all kinds of reasons... so they try to be apart...but that don't work either...
Secrets are revealed and walla... Good o'l vampire fight, demon battle and re-claiming a mate ensues! Great... Can't wait for book 2!

Narration was really good. No complaints.

Great Credit or sale..I wouldn't buy unless you plan to invest in all the book in the series and since only one book is on audible... I would just wait for credit.

My Newest Addiction!

I really didn't expect much from this book, so I was pleasantly surprised by my inability to stop listening! I can't say that it is the most polished book I've ever read, but any faults are forgivable due to the captivating plot.

Based on the book's description, I was a bit worried that the Shadow Agency would turn out to be a police force type of thing and the book might be a bit like a crime novel (which I personally detest), but this is not the case. So, if you too share my fears of boring police talk, fear not!

Another thing that's a book killer for me, is when the main couple gets too sweet. You start to feel like the awkward third wheel with an overly cute couple, and frankly it makes me want to gag a bit. This didn't happen either! I really liked the couple, especially since they were balanced. There wasn't one who was oh so super special compared to the other. They could both kick ass.

Basically, this was a fun, sexy, action packed, paranormal romance. It's not perfect, and sometimes things seemed to happen to easily for my taste, but in the end it's more like untapped potential rather than an annoyance. So, if you like paranormal romance you will undoubtably enjoy this one too!

WARNING: if you don't like sex in books, stay away from this one. Also, there's a cliffhanger at the end. Why are the book gods so cruel!
