Publisher's summary

He is a lethal vampire bound by an ancient curse. She is an agent of homeland security investigating a dangerous cult. Theirs is a Blood Destiny about to unfold.

Descended from the progeny of celestial gods and humans, Nathaniel Silivasi is handsome, seductive, and powerful beyond measure: a lethal vampire. Belonging to an ancient civilization that sacrificed its females to the verge of extinction, he is also cursed. Like all the sons of Jadon, he is incapable of producing female offspring and required to sacrifice a firstborn son as atonement for the sins of his forefathers. While he belongs to a modern civilization, he is bound by primeval law.

When Jocelyn Levi stumbles upon Nathaniel's pristine mountain valley, she is not prepared for the collision of worlds she is about to encounter. As an agent of the homeland security department ICE, the beautiful, defiant female has an agenda of her own: to stop the ritualistic slaughter of innocent, young women by a human trafficking ring. Little does she know the evil she seeks is unlike anything she has ever witnessed. She has entered a world of warriors, code, and mystery, where the predators are divided only by degrees of light and shadow, and the dark, handsome stranger who has come to her aid is the most dangerous of all.

Twilight fans, this isn't for you.

What did you love best about Blood Destiny?

The thing I loved the most about Blood Destiny as a story is I was never bored. I did not want to stop listening. I found myself doing odd chores around the house just so I could keep my ear buds in. The house of Jadon is incredibly honor bound and sexy. The house of Jaegar is so bad. But bad in a great way.
The narrator is perfect. He switched between voices beautifully, and his style of reading really added to the suspense of the overall story.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the ultimate good versus evil. The thin line between right versus wrong. I liked that the vampires were hot, but not weak sauce. I'm so sick of watered down vampires. I like my vampires fierce. This story delivered, and then some. I loved that werewolves were bad. I hate werewolves. Them being even remotely romantic is just not my thing.
Overall, my favorite part of this story is the emotions. It is hard to find a book that really moves me, or makes me feel for the characters. After this story was over, I felt like I knew all the characters, and I wanted to know more!!

What about Eric Dove’s performance did you like?

Everything. He's got a downright alluring voice. The man could read my car's owners manual (I hate car stuff) and I would be enthralled. He read flawlessly, jumped between voices nicely, scared me a little when he was reading Marquis' voice, and the way his speed ebbed and flowed through the book, it was perfect.

If you could take any character from Blood Destiny out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Hmmm... Probably Salvatore. No guarantees I would survive dinner, but it would so be worth it. What a villain. Pure evil to the core. I adore someone that bad. I would love to hear what makes that maniac tick. Or just to hear his next scheme. Diabolical.

Any additional comments?

I look forward to hearing future books in this series. It was a pleasure.

Blood Destiny gripped me from the very start!

Would you listen to Blood Destiny again? Why?

Without a shadow of a doubt! I was rivited from the very first word to the last. I felt I was in the Blood Moon Vale watching the entire story unfold. It was a magical experience and I'm quite simply blown away!

What did you like best about this story?

The entire story captured my heart from beginning to end, the darkness and despair making way for love to shine through. Tessa created a family of characters that leave you breathless and hopeful to the very end.

What does Eric Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The emotive narration added so much more to me and involved me in the story than the ebook or print book.
I felt a part of the story and Eric Dove made me feel I was there. Quite simply I became a member of the Silivasi family. Very few audio books do that or at least for me!

If you could take any character from Blood Destiny out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Marquis :) He is what a vampire should be! No sparkles, no shine, absolutely terrifying and yet...a beautiful tortured soul who stands up for Justice, Family, Love and Honor, a very rare find indeed :)

Any additional comments?

Tessa Dawn's writing has completely drawn me in and left me screaming, crying, smiling, laughing and going through so many emotions I honestly didn't know where in me! I beg you to give Tessa's entire series a read and then listen. I know you will be back for more!

Wonderful...Just plain wonderful!!!!

Wow! I didn't think I could find another series that would grab a hold and not let go like J.R.Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, but this one does just that! From beginning to end it was just wonderful! The story line was entertaining and imaginative, and like the Brotherhood, you will find yourself fully invested in the action. It started from chapter two or three and never let up! My kind of book! This one get's a five star rating across the board, and Eric Dove does an outstanding job with the voices. I went immediately to get the next two books. Don't think you can go wrong with this one, it's well wroth the listen!

Erotica disguised as vampiric novel

Though the story itself isn't bad, has depth and character, the overly descriptive writing style grew tiresome for me. And although I thoroughly enjoyed the vampire history interpretations, I wasn't expecting the second half to fall into an erotica book, with full chapters of exhaustingly descriptive lovemaking. Chapters which made me sigh with annoyance and skip through minute by minute.

The story leaves so many openings for sequels, it does make me curious about how their lives will progress. But I'm not going to venture again into erotica disguised as vampiric novels

Only ok

The female protagonist was unrealistic and inconsistent. The protagonist males were more beta male than the strong alpha leaders they were purported to be. Disappointing.

Tessa Dawn Is a Master Story Teller

Would you listen to Blood Destiny again? Why?

I loved this book and the story. It was so wonderfully written, I could not stop listening to it and was frustrated when I had to.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jocelyn and Nathanial were my favorite characters. They seemed so real, their story seemed real, and I felt myself cheering in my head for them to reach their happily ever after.

What does Eric Dove bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This was my first audible story. I had never listened to a book like this before and I was stunned. Eric Dove brought this book to life. I never imagined when I first started listening that Eric's voice would change, accents would change, and that he would bring so much action and emotion to the story. He really brought the book to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This story had so many facets, dark and light. It takes you on emotional roller coaster wanting good to triumph over evil.

Any additional comments?

Tessa Dawn is a master story teller with her very unique take the on vampire lore in The Blood Curse Series. This book sucks you in from the very beginning and takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotion when a sexy master vampire meets his destined mate and has to protect her from not only an evil faction of vampires, but hunters as well and all while trying to fulfill his obligations to the blood curse.

WOW, Absolutely Awesome, LOVED LISTENING !!!

What did you love best about Blood Destiny: Blood Curse Series book 1?

I really like the new twist on how the Vampires with the "Blood Curse" and how you were just drawn into the story and not just Jocelyn and Nathaniels story but ALL of Dark Moon Vale....Blood Destiny opened a whole new world of Dark Fantasy to me....LOVED IT!

What other book might you compare Blood Destiny: Blood Curse Series book 1 to and why?

If I had to I would compare it to Dark Prince by Ms Feehan, but Blood Destiny is more intense, raw, passionate ..... more story less fluff..

Which scene was your favorite?

so many....so so many...ok, when they go after Jocelyn .......I cant say more because I will give way to much away...but I like the friend of my enemy part....AND I have to say Braden comes thru in a big way!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

"The Blood Curse" The True Vampire, Good & Evil ( i leave the writing to the experts like Tessa Dawn..)....

Any additional comments?

Reading this book was Great but Listening to Eric Dove Telling the Story was AMAZING.....

Fantastic developing storyline.

As a fan of the supernatural story I loved this book. The characters developed without being overwhelmed with information.
