Publisher's summary

Critic reviews

"Jane gets into a complicated stew involving human and vampire rivalries, the ancient vampire-witch conflict, the New Orleans police, and her need to balance her beast and human natures. What with puzzles, chases (including a climactic one to rescue children), lots of blood, and some explicit sex, count on this to please thriller and dark romance fans alike." ( Booklist)

At the top of her game

Jane Yellowrock kicking ass and taking names. Another amazing tale from Faith Hunter. Fast, fun and full of punches. My emotional connection to BEAST is at an all time high. Such smooth transition between Jane & Beast. The beast stories are always good and gone to soon. Another amazing story.

Another great reamed by Faith Hunter!

This is quickly becoming my favorite series! I'm ready to read the next book! I love all my magic and mysticism and want to learn more about Jane and Beast! I'm so happy that Jane will be hanging around New
I look forward to see how things will work out with Ricky Bo, Bruiser and Leo.

Good mystery and a good story

What did you love best about Blood Cross?

I like a good story with full, fleshed-out characters and this series has it. The heroine has a mysterious past and even more mysterious, supernatural powers. It's just a good listen. Khristine Hvam does an excellent job; her changes in voice are seamless and not at all distracting. I especially like her voice for "Beast".

What other book might you compare Blood Cross to and why?

While Blood Cross is in the current vampire and supernatural fiction vein (pun intended), I can't think of another book or series to really compare this to. Yes, there's a strong semi-human female lead. Yes, there's some flirting. But - there's a mystery and real character development.

I'm getting hooked

Book one for Jane Yellowrock was interesting. This book is threatening to send me down a spiral of obsession with the series.
A bit more romance than similar series like that of 'the dresden files' but not a turn off for you urban fantasy purists out there. 'Beast' is becoming a more interesting character every day. The world of Jane is also one I'm becoming increasingly interested in. Looking forward to my next credit!

Even better than book 1!

Loved it! I am really enjoying this main character and how she interacts with the world around her. She's feminine but not girlie, she's confident but not cocky and I find it really fun that I can relate to her unique character. I love how each book so far has pulled up a small piece of her missing memory. It's layers like that added to the story that take things to the next level and make this a really great book.

Enjoyed this continuation of story line

Book 2 was an interesting continuation of the Jane storyline. The narrator did a good job. A few mispronounced words here and there and a couple of character voice changes missed but not enough to make me want to stop listening. No overt sexual content in this book and descriptions of the violence were not graphic, so I would let my teen daughter read.

it was a entertaining book, found myself laughing, a lo t of nail bitting for me but to much neck biting or neck ripping for Jane
