Publisher's summary

Mechanic Mercy Thompson has friends in low places - and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shape-shift at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind. But this new vampire is hardly ordinary - and neither is the demon inside of him.

Have Mercy: listen to another Mercy Thompson chiller.

Well written and well read!

This novel is a delight in its layered complexity. The world building comes alive due to the simplicity that the Tri City area exists in our world.
Mercedes has started walking down a path that leads her into a world of danger. But her natural coyote talents makes her the only logical person to clean this mess up.!
Fabulous book!

Great!

So far, I love this Mercy Thompson series. I love the fact that mercy does not let the alpha werewolf push her around. Whenever he annoys her, since he is her neighbor, she puts some type of eyesore out in the field between the two houses. Her vampire friend took mercy on what was supposed to be a mission to scare another vampire but it’s dead almost got mercy and killed. Then, the vampire they were supposed to scare, they found out he was a sorcerer and now he’s after mercy. He trashed the outside of her trailer so now her neighbor has even more stuff to complain about. Now the wolves are in on trying to capture this sorcerer, but it didn’t go very well for them either. The mistress of the vampire sees once mercy to go after this sorcerer, believing that she is the only one that can kill him. This little mission has taught mercy how much she should not trust vampires. I am excited to read the next book in the series.

The most violent of the Mercy stories

The first book in the Mercy Thompson series (Moon Called) introduces the major characters and the supernatural world they inhabit. It is the book that hooked me on both the characters and the world of werewolves, vampires, witches and one coyote shapeshifting mechanic named Mercy.

This second book delves deeper into the character of Stephan, vampire and friend to Mercy, and introduces the reality of pure evil in the form of a bloodthirsty sorcerer. I found it chilling and very difficult to read or listen to because the evil in it was overwhelming. This is the only book in the series that I haven’t read multiple times, and I only made it thru once for the continuity in the story.

While all of the Mercy Thompson books (and their counterparts in the Alpha & Omega stories) have a theme of good vs. evil and take us to dark places, this one seemed to spend the most time dwelling in the lair of pure evil and the one Patricia Briggs book that I will never reread.

Action, Suspense and Great Charcters!

I really enjoyed listening to this book and learning more about "Mercy Thompson's" world.

There is action, suspense and great characters; I can't wait to read the rest of the books in the series! (I only wished I had not waited so long to read these books!)

love...quadrangle?

Poor Mercy! What's a walker girl to do, when all those big strong alphas are sniffing around? kick butt and take names, of course! this professional sounding book was very well done, and the choice of narrator was perfect.

Mercy is great!!

Any additional comments?

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 1/2
Another wonderful adventure with Mercy Thompson and the supernatural creatures of the Tri-Cities. I just love Mercy. She is smart, tough and wily just like the coyote that she is. Mercy had to use all of her skills in Blood Bound! There is a lot of things that happen that will make future stories very interesting.
The love triangle between Adam-Mercy-Samuel is driving me a bit nuts!! Make a choice girl!!! I love both of these wolfs and am going to be be heartbroken for one of them.
I can’t wait to see what is next for Mercy!!!
And of course the amazingly talented Ms. King lends her voice to bring Mercy, Adam, Samuel, Stefan and the rest of wolfs, vamps, shifters, fae and others. I always love having Ms. King read to me a story. Because she doesn't’ just read it she lives the story. There is a huge difference between reading and telling a story and Ms. King does this job wonderfully!!!
On to the next story!!

Mercy Thompson is my guilty pleasure

Very entertaining. A spunky, smart heroine holding her own amongst werewolves, vampires, and the fey.
