good story and a great heroine
I have really enjoyed the first 2 books. The story moves along quickly and Mercy is an excellent female protagonist. She doesn't sit back while the men do the dirty work of dealing with the devil.

Fantastic Performance!
The Mercy Thompson series is a wonder: great from the first book, no sophomore slump, fantastic characters that all get deep and meaningful arcs, and a fresh and unique world in the larger urban fantasy landscape.
Even better, Lorelei Kong's performance takes these already great books to the next level. Her narration adds depth and nuance to a story I've already read twice. Wonderful work!

Silly fun escape from your own reality
There are these moments in books, such as when a walker walks into a fae tavern and ends up singing a Christian song to a group of Celtic fae, that made me laugh aloud.
Hard to explain to other folks sitting near you so I didn’t try. Thoroughly enjoyed this story with its ability to not take itself too seriously. Fun with tropes. A little bit of intense romance. Good escape.
Lorelei King does a great job with the voices!

book 2 has a better story line
It was a better story line then the first one in the series. I was nervous because I loved the ideas of the book plots but thought the first book was kind of lame but the second one was so much better. Good read.

I love this series! Had headache so couldn't read so I put this on with no lights and was able to listen. So glad I did, it soothed me. I was able to read/listen to the rest of the book instead of yearning to read.
