When children go missing, and the humans have no leads, I'm the one they call. I am their last hope for bringing home the lost ones. I salvage what they cannot. My name is Rylee, and I am a Tracker.
Crossing into ogre country is dangerous when you're a polite, respectful gal. Which means I already know I'm in for a wild ride despite the backup I've brought along.
Even when things start to go sideways and enemies close in on us from every side, I still believe we have the upper hand.
How very blind can one person be when it comes to a salvage? I'm about to find out.

The narrator is decent, and would have gotten 3 stars, except for 2 things. The evil bad dude's voice was that voice we all did as children when we were trying to be scary. That could have been forgiven, but every time she said "Cally-ope" instead of "Calliope" I cringed and lost track of the story. How did this get past editing?
Say something about yourself!
You don't get to book 5 and do not know anything about the series. This book follows the same formula as usual. There is still the great action and the bonding of friends. Rylee has matured through the series and it has made her stronger and more vicious. She has assumed the responsibility to protect her friends. She encounters different species and forge bonds along the way. This book does not disappoint. Unfortunately, it ends in a cliff hanger. Don't pass this up!!!
Best of the series so far. Rylee grows a little bit of spine and kicks some serious monster ass instead of her usual whining internal dialogs on over emotional crap keeping her from decisive action. It still has a few episodes of that but the balance of the book is great. Some popular characters get killed in the end. It's par for the course with nitwit authors to kill off good ones to hopefully introduce new ones in book 6. We shall see.
This book is packed! Action, death, hope and family abound. I love Rylee, Liam, and Alex. An amazing journey that the trio face to pull the paranormal world together with the help of witches and many other fantastic sups. Twists & turns, wolves, vampires, ogres and so many more amazing happenings. Enemies at every turn & a bit of romance thrown in for good measure. An enjoyable book and series that I would recommend to anyone.
i am enjoying the series! i really wish Riley and the gang could have a few minutes of rest! I like the action intertwined with the relationships.
I love audiobooks!!!
this is a delightful addition to the series. Lots of plots and subplots. My only issue was the cliffhanger, which has sort of been par for the course in this series. It's good, clean fun!
Love fantasy books, usually with a strong female character. I also enjoyed just about anything from J.D Robb I am a fan of mysteries as well. I also enjoy funny and quirky novels anything from Molly Harper is a winner in my book. Since listening to audio books is important to me while I travel I also follow certain narrators as well.
Excellent story, lots of twists. Can't wait for next book. The story isn't one that all the good guys survive, but the heroine keeps on fighting the good fight.
"Gripping but too short!"
If you have read books 1-4 you should have a good idea what to expect.
If you haven't don't start with this one but go to the beginning!
Hard to say too much without spoilers but Rylee is on another salvage and of course its not a simple one, oh and it looks like she needs to save the world at the same time as well. The action is as gripping as always and I've warmed to Emma Galvin as a narrator and somehow she seems right for the books now. Her urgent tone definitely fits this book as Rylee lurches from one frying pan into the next fire.
Its a real page turner and difficult to stop listening once you get going.
Only complaint is the book stops mid story on a bit of a cliff hanger so I am now having to download the next one to find out what happens next.
"Another great Rylee Adamson adventure"
A great performance from the narrator. Very enjoyable storytelling, can't wait for the next installment.
