Would you listen to Black Magic Sanction again? Why?

Kim Harrison's books would be one of the few books where I would want to listen to again. They are exciting and funny.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Black Magic Sanction?

There is a very steamy scene involving two of the characters hiding in a hole in the ground. I'm not a big fan of sex scenes, but this was interesting. There was also a very sad scene which moved me to tears.

Which scene was your favorite?

There are a couple great scenes. Harrison's imagination and writing skill make it difficult for me to choose. The first one that comes to mind is Rachel first being summoned by someone using the demon Algaliarept's name.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Demons, Elves, Fairies, Pixies, Witches Oh My!

Rachel Morgan's story keeps getting better with each novel. This is one of my favorites.

Thrilling, Ingenious and Funny

What other book might you compare Black Magic Sanction to and why?

I wouldn't compare it to any other since i found it very unique. But if you like me, like the books about Rachel and the gang you might also like the Georgina Kincaid or Succubus books by Richelle Mead.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't know if i have one in particular but i like the part when Rachel and Pierce have to hide in the hole in the ground.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

When you're figthing for survival the lines between right and wrong changes.

The Rachel Morgan books are amazing and i hope we will get to se many many more of them.

Book 8, Still In Love

Dawn Cook (a.k.a Kim Harrison) does not disappoint! Some authors let you down after 2 or 3 books, but this is book 8 and this one is just as good as the first. Some witchcraft, demons, pixies, vampires, demons, romance, action, comedy, and some top notch voice-acting make this series a pure joy to listen to.

Made me laugh and cry...

Would you consider the audio edition of Black Magic Sanction to be better than the print version?

Probably, but I only listened...and I feel listening is always better!!!! lol

Who was your favorite character and why?

Pierce! He is cool..and of course Al...and Rachel!!! lol

Al!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

If it was shorter...sure...but its a long one....and I loved it, I wouldn't have had it any other way!!

Any additional comments?

This was a good story....sometimes I do not agree with how Rachel acts or what she does, but I still love her....I was appalled with how the coven treated Rachel in this story, Rachel does a LOT of good with her magic as well as gets into a bit a trouble every now and then...I think I laughed more in this book, than in any of the others...and yes I cried a bit too...I cant believe I am going into book 9 now....I better slow down a bit...because I will certainly miss Rachel, Ivy, and Jenks!!! Highly recommend this series.....

Marguerite Gavin is a great reader, enjoyed listening to her.

most of the vampire good "chick" books. They are all about the same type of thing, but interesting to listen too while doing cooking, cleaning, and mindless things!

Series getting better

What made the experience of listening to Black Magic Sanction the most enjoyable?

The series slowed down a little in the last book, but the story is moving forward and new in this one.
