Surviving Ragnarok is a challenge no matter what powers you have, and new problems keep cropping up. Demanding witches, genocidal monsters, divine feuds, and local politics will all keep Daniel on his toes. But his enemies have made one crucial mistake. They've given an engineer who understands the nature of magic time to build things.

If it is true that a book is a reflection of the author, then E. William Brown is either huge pervert or a bigger ladies man than 007. I'm putting my money on the former. This is a story of a 36 year old wizard that falls into more barley legal pussy than Wilt Chamberlain and JFK combined. That is pretty much it. If you feel like listening to or reading a bunch of sex dialog, then this is the series for you. A fucking series of this shit! It is like the author watched porn for a year straight while summarizing every fuck, blow job and nipple teak. The first book was so bad that I bought the second book just to see if the fuck saga will last for two entire books. I was not let down!
Why isn't book 3 on audio!! I canonly read while I work since I'm self employed & I am so I to these books! Completely unique & spellbinding & manages to become perky charming & hot & fun as well as terrifying. Perfect blend of multi culture mythology I am so happy I found this series!!! More to come?
If you read this book Two things will stand out.
1) The story has great application of magic far from the normal lighting blots and fireballs this book give really life to the weaving of magic. It make the book more complicated however it give it sum depth that many book incorporating spell craft are vary noticeably missing.
2) The sex is almost nonstop close to every chapter and sum chapters totally devoted to the subject.
Side note: Not for children!!!
I am truly not a fan of this narrator while he is OK his female voices are truly grating and his southern accents for characters that are supposed to be smart and reserved are very distracting from the main story. the sad thing is I think he could be a great narator for a different book with less female Leeds or a non fantasy premise.
Very little story, just sex. I didn't finish this book because it is only about a 30 to 40 min story the other 12 hours is nothing except fanticy sexual dreamscape. Another wasted credit, and wasted time.
Sorry I am not a fan.
Books like this should be listed under a different title like erotic not mysteries
the underlying plot to this series of books is not bad. the gratuitous sex is over the top and every adolescent fantasy. every woman in the story seems to be a sex-starved nymphomaniac. the author spends more time describing how he invents things with technology then actually getting along with the story... It reads like a Minecraft game.
I read this second installment because I thought maybe it would progressed better than the first but sadly I was mistaken.
I did like the first book but the second one is just getting more and more unusual and weird. Got through half of it but can't handle it anymore, it feels like its just sex scenes or references to sex scenes. I don't listen to epic fantasy book to have more than half the book about sex, just aint for me.
This is a great concept that the Japanese anime and manga have been using for a while. I love how the story is written with adults in mind.
Review I did for book 1 stands for all of them.
Well worth buying so author can make more.
