Publisher's summary

Freed from the constraints of the Aliomenti, Will Stark creates a new group, an alliance of men and women committed to using their energy skills and technological advances to improve the lives of all. It's an act of rebellion that won't go unnoticed - or unpunished - by the Aliomenti elites.

Treachery, a desperate search for the resolution of his most vexing personal concern, and an incredible network of underground facilities drive Will to his own desperate decisions. He'll figure out how to bring new life into the world...but the asking price is steep. And permanent.

Epic progress and advancement!

This addition to the series is my favorite! I love seeing the return of Hope and of course the gathering of the “First” or those that will be the foundation of the Alliance!
There is also the adventure of getting to see the history of the United States’ birth from a science fiction perspective. With the Alliance being more open and lacking the micromanaged authoritarian dictatorship of the Aliomenti, they are able to pursue advancement in almost every aspect! The petty infighting and selfishness is mostly absent. They can dive in deep with catching Will’s passion for innovation and the zeal “to be the change you want to see in the world!”
Then there is of course the continuing of the secret mission to ensure the “future” Will will be able to make his trip into the past to save Elizabeth (Hope).

The storytelling is great and the plot weaving is entertaining. I love the people of the Alliance and what they bring to the overall story. New characters bringing their own aspects to the story, both good and bad.

I had jumped into the next book almost immediately at the end but had to come back to leave my own review to hopefully see other people jumping into this amazing adventure!

The saga continues

So as title suggests, Will seperates from Arthur's dominated Aliomenti and started his own group Alliance.
However, there were a few things needed to be done before he could do this, as well as a few centuries had to pass before the timeline of his 35th birthday occurred, in this time sequence loop they were in.
I admire the way that various technological advances and historical events have been incorporated to make this a very intriguing tale.

Wonderful Series

Each book builds on the next, and this last had plot twists I simply could not predict, which is much more engaging. I truly hope I don't have to wait five years for the rest of the series.
