The story is dark, beautiful, and cunning. The author does an amazing job of ending the trilogy and left me breathless. I would recommend this to any Brandon Sanderson or George Martin fan. Excellently done ❤️
The Night Angel Trilogy grows increasingly multi-threaded, leaving the reader wondering where Weeks is ultimately going. He finally ties almost all threads together in a memorable conclusion that is worth the effort. Narrator Paul Boehmer improves as the book goes on and finishes with fine drama.
Beyond the Shadows wraps up the Night Angel Trilogy. I very much enjoyed this book, as it takes Azoth from Apprentice to hero. He must however juggle his responsibilities to his calling and his new wife. This book is the most exciting of the three, as the action is almost non stop. The conclusion wraps up most of the plot lines, but seems to leave the possibility of another book some time in the future.
Overall, I really enjoyed all three books in this trilogy. The story was very good, and Paul Boehmer is one of my favorite narrators. I would recommend this series to anyone.
Currently studying psychology in Norway. I primarily read fantasy, sci-fi and fictional books
If you have gotten this far into the Night Angel trilogy, this book will take you on an emotional roller coaster. I had to fight back tears several times, and I lost that fight at least twice. Paul Boehmer captures the characters agony/pain so well it's difficult not to believe it's true, what an amazing performance. If you have come this far in the trilogy, this is a must read!
Although the first book was relatively slow and was hard to get into, I'm glad I stuck with the series. The series was amazing and the third book was definitely the best.
the story overall it's a bit dark and unpredictable which mades this story enjoyable for a chance there are some characters that needed a bit more time to conclude there story line and more mysteries unsolved which mades me feel like there is a need for a new book or even another series base on this ......
i honestly never like Elene much she never had any chemistry with mc so i was ok with that ending however i wish that Viridiana and Kylar would've met sooner when they were training or something it would've made there relationship more believable they didn't need to interact much but they were part of the same world and it would made sense that because of their jobs they would meet and interact a bit more i feel that was a waste of opportunity and it would've been a better foundation for there relationship instead it felt force and even though i like Viridiana character and evolution she never have the potential to become mc love interest
also i dislike Logan he was inflexible and naive at times to forgiving special at the end even though the writer try to made him seem as a great king i don't think he has what it takes to rule much less be a high king ....don't get me wrong he is a great person and perhaps a great general but it doesn't made him a good king
compare to Dorian even though I never like him and in the end he made some mistakes. think he has what takes to be a great king
Even if the overall story of all three books being very engaging. wasn't enough the narrator is by far one of the best I've heard as of yet. I highly recommend these books and especially this version of them.
