Publisher's Summary

The alien Arcadians long only to fly, but Maeve Cavainna is running. The infamous bounty hunter, Logan Coldhand, chases close behind and intends to drag her back to Axis to collect the high price on her head.

When he finally corners Maeve, the long chase seems to be over...until a frightened girl stumbles into their fight and begs for their protection. Maeve and Logan call a reluctant end to their battle and promise to help the girl, but they have agreed to far more than they know. Can the fragile peace between hunter and mark hold long enough to save the lives that depend on them?

    "Great story, mildly annoying narrator"

    Of the story:
A delightful cast of characters, and a teenager. Maeve and Coldhand are broken in different ways and we get to witness their 'rehumanization'. By the end of this book I was chomping at the bit to start the second book.
    Of the narrator:
Reasonable voice acting, which is a plus. However, I found her habit of 'gasping' out the end of each sentence to be distracting.
