"good follow up to the first book"

I have written a review for the first book so that is where you should go first, if you have read the first book then you will probably like this one and the 3rd one. In the first book the fold space reopened and the rest of civilization was reconnected, sorta.

This was written only 1 year after the first book but book 3 was written 15 years after that in 2002 which is sorta strange, I have a review of that one also.

    "Another enjoyable entry."

Like the previous book, it felt like it was written by a chauvinist trying to put on airs of being progressive. But for the late 80's that's not out of character for the populous. I look forward to the next as it appears to have been published in 2002. Perhaps it looses the baggage of that latter era.

Aside from that complaint, it was a fun read.

    "A soporific yawn."

. Well... this book should have a "do not operate machinery while listening" disclaimer. It's almost like the author intended the book to be as dull and boring as possible. I gave it two stars because there is about 2hrs on the second part that actually followed the summary... the rest? I actually fell asleep listening.
