Cliff-hanging and action packed!

This trilogy was very well developed. It kept my attention and me interested for hours of listening fun. Recommend it highly.

I tried, I really tried

I have to admit that I bought the book by mistake. I actually enjoyed the first one, and the second, I found myself more than ever having a hard time getting past the ridiculous dialogue while the main characters made horrible decisions. When a notice on good reads popped up that there was another book in a series I was reading had a new book, I mistakenly thought this was a different series. I have now made it though the first few chapters and realize that it is even worse than the last. I understand the author is trying to make the characters act like young adults, but I have several young adults that I know and none talk like the characters in this book.

The actual plot is unique and there was so much potential. I just wish the characters weren't dumb.

Plot needs a bit of padding.

I found the first book in this series to be somewhat engaging, the second to be somewhat easy to tune out from and this third book almost tiresome. I dare say that if the authors had gone to a little more effort, made the novel a little longer, they could have made the plot a lot more interesting. Knowing how short the book is kind of gives away the fact that nothing disastrous is going to get in the way of their plan.

I like Dara Rosenberg's narrative style. She articulates well and can keep all her characters distinctly separate, although she can't do accents to save herself.

Juvenile

The dialogue is written as if "grandma" is trying too hard to be cool - and missing by a mile! So dated, so juvenile - maybe pre-teens still speak like this (doubt it), but certainly no person in their 20's & 30's does (unless they are brain damaged). Just aweful....

LOVE THIS SERIES!

What did you love best about Annihilate?

It really captivated me from the beginning. I think its such a fun, romantic, and adventurous book! Leia and Jaymin did such a great job with these books. You get lost in this whole other world and I loved every second. I am a HUGE fan and will continue to read their books. The only downside is i wish they made more of this series!!!!! haha other than that its perfect! GET YOURS!

WOW WHAT TO SAY.....

WOW WHAT TO SAY hmmmm well the story was AMAZING!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE AUDIO BOOKS however there have been a couple that I wonder if it would have been better to read them! This is possibly 1 of them!! It took me awhile in the first book to get use to this narrator but I got use to her! The 2nd installment was ok, then this 1 came along & the narrator was struggling to get names OF CHARACTERS THAT HAVE BEEN VERY IMPORTANT IN EVERY BOOK RIGHT! Idk I hate leaving not the best reviews but this 1 was hard for me!!

Less than par

What did you love best about Annihilate?

Annihalate wrapped up the trilogy. Dotted it's I's and crossed it's T's. Action packed.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Expected. That's it.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene for this one was probably with the alley scene.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The alley scene.

Any additional comments?

Really underwhelming. I feel like the author said, 'Well I need to finish the trilogy so here ya go...' Poorly laid out story. Main character is all over the place. Plot lines seem to come out of thin air at times. Missing something more fulfilling.
