A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.

Publisher's summary
Isabelle Martinez was instantly fascinated by the sexy Coyote Breed she met at the bar, but her sensual flirtation with him was cut short when she saw the man who'd attacked her arrive at the bar.
Breed enforcer Malachi Morgan was entranced by Isabelle's mix of shyness and boldness, and he was determined to chase and play with his sensual prey. But he could tell she'd been hurt before by a man, and he vowed that Isabelle was now his to protect and love, even as if it meant going against her family and his orders.

My First Breed Audiobook but Not My Last
I've been reading the Breeds series since its very beginning. Never before had I tried them on audio but I'm glad I did. It was a different experience to hear the story told to me, really adding to the experience. Of course, Leigh's books in this series are well written - creative, suspenseful, romantic and sexy. So, so good.

Loved it More Breed Books
I loved this short story, and Briana Bronte is for me the voice of The Breeds. Yes it has explicit sex scenes, but unlike death and taxes you do not have to either listen or read books of this nature, if you choose to then please do not take the moral high ground and complain as it reeks of Hypocrisy.
I love the breed series and would eagerly buy the earlier books i.e. Tempting the Beast, The Man Within and Elizabeth's Wolf in audio format.
Thanks Audible for bringing them aboard,.

Unexpectedly Hilarious
This book is a part of a series. If you haven't read the earlier books, little will make sense. Raunchy, crass, and theoretically erotic, something about having these kinds of books read aloud just comes off as dorky and humorous. I found myself laughing in places where I suppose the intention was for the reader to get steamed up. The performer was overly nasally when interpreting some of the characters, and I found that a little distracting. If you're a fan of Lora Leigh, you'll probably enjoy. If you haven't read Lora Leigh yet, I'd recommend reading (not listening to) one of the earlier books in the series.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Well lately some of the Breed books are not really good but this one was great!!! I really enjoyed it and I hope from now on they get better. I wish the book was longer but for being short it was really a good read.
What about Briana Bronte’s performance did you like?
I love how she just becomes the person she is reading. It's great and I really love the books in this series she has read.

It Could Be So Much Better
I have not purchased the other Breed books by L Leigh and I doubt I will buy more. I purchased this audio book because it was a shorter book with a good price for when I wanted a quick read. But I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with the language. Yes, I know that most of the times this type of book borders on erotica but after hearing the P-word and C-word to describe the female anatomy over and over, I got really sick of it. I don't mind sex scenes if tastefully done, but these were just crude. Heck, I'm not a prude. In fact, I was reading Rosemary Rogers books at 14 yrs old. But over the years I have discovered that less is really better when it comes to descriptive sex scenes.
I thought the plot was a good one and enjoyed the beginning but the book would be much better if about an hour of sex was cut out.
I recommend lots of books and audio books to others, but this will not be one of them.

AWFUL!
The main character is not strong at all. The male is annoying. The narration is awful and this Russian accents are so bad. The supporting characters are annoying. The heroine (sorry--the main victim) is content to be a 25 year old virgin who almost got raped and can only cry and say, "My man will kill you," when she is kidnapped. Sorry, but I rather read about stronger women who don't let themselves be pushed around. Save your money--pass this one by.

The story concept is interesting, however
What would have made An Inconvenient Mate better?
not so much crude wording and ideas
What do you think your next listen will be?
Kiss of Midnight by Lara Adrian
Did the narration match the pace of the story?
the narration was fine, too many attempts as sounding sultry
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment and some revulsion, don't get me wrong I like a good sex scene, these were just too crude for me.
Any additional comments?
The story could be so interesting. The overall concept is good, just goes to far with the sex for my tastes.
