Like watching a movie

With the full cast narrating, it felt like I was watching the rather than reading. The story, itself, is one of Neil Gaiman’s best. It has a little bit of everything going on: fantasy, horror, science fiction, mythology, religion. Listening to it on Audible made it an experience. Great job!

I enjoyed it

1- I'm not American, I liked it because I'm learning English, too long yes, and sometimes you will be confused about the ideas or the story, but overall, great book.

satisfaction.

I absolutely loved it. I see a few people in the reviews complain about some sections kind of jumping around but I think for me personally it added to the experience. I felt it shined a light on this world that was created and it broke up the nuance and gave some time to breath in a way. the book was excellent if your into any sort of mythology and this adaptation of modern gods was truly unique.

Loved Every Moment

I'm a big fan of Mr. Gaiman's writing, so I was not disappointed with this at all. I'm really happy he read the foreword, in-between chapters, and the afterword. I could listen to his voice all day. I was very impressed that he provided background on how and why he wrote certain things (or took them out), giving us a glimpse into his creative process.

That being said, the cast for this book did a great job! Being able to know immediately which character is speaking by the different cast voices just makes the tale all that much better. None of the voices or accents sounded phony or fake (unless they were intentionally meant to sound that way, i.e. saying something in a mocking or sarcastic tone), and the way the cast members read the conversations really helped define how these characters were connected but separate all the same.

I will definitely listen to this again, it's going into my library as a favorite.

A trippy read

I had more questions than answers for 3/4 of the book. The book kept me guessing and thinking the whole way through.

Wonderfully entrancing!

the cast and narrator were great! The only thing I could complain about is the cast did so well that it can be telling for the twists to come.

A rigged game, is the easiest to beat.

Part Mythos part pulp fiction. I love the flow of the story. And the narration excellent. this is my second time reading this book. And liked it better the second time. Rattatusk Rattutask!!!

Excellent title and performance. Relivent to todays world and keeps you engaged. will read again and again

Go where no fiction has taken you before

Sections of this string were graphic with sex and violence which weren't as appealing to me. However the mystery was so compelling that I found myself yelling at the protagonist for making what I thought was the wrong choice! Accepting that the sometimes graphic nature of events was a back drop for the times of long ago, I fell into the struggles of the characters and enjoyed the twist on the twist in the story.
