Publisher's Summary

The sequel to Agenda 21, from number-one New York Times best-selling author and nationally syndicated radio host Glenn Beck.

"I knew those men were our enemies, but they, like everyone else in the Republic, were nothing more than servants. Rule followers. They had no choice. But I did. I had a choice and I made it. I knew then and there that, no matter what happened, I would never go back. Never."

It was once named America, but now it is just "the Republic". Following the worldwide implementation of a UN-led program called Agenda 21, the once-proud people of America have become obedient residents who live in barren, brutal Compounds and serve the autocratic, merciless Authorities.

Citizens mainly keep their heads down and their mouths shut - but Emmeline is different. When the Authorities took her mother away, she started questioning the world around her. What happened to her mom? Why is everyone confined to grim living spaces and made to eat the same food cubes every day? Why was her own baby taken from her to be raised in the Children's Village? And are the rumors that somewhere out beyond the fence live those who got away during the Relocations - the so-called shadow people - really true?

When Emmeline's questions lead to the realization that she will never see her child again, she decides to escape the Compound with her partner David and their baby Elsa. Fleeing the armed enforcers of the Earth Protection Agency, and facing the unknown for the first time in their lives, Emmeline and David run into the shadows in the desperate hope of finding something they'd only heard stories about from those who'd lived before the Relocations: freedom.

    "critical thinking type of book"

The agenda 21 sequel was a great book that spoke about an idea about a future where the government controlled people and use the environment as an excuse. It shed light on an issue that could become bigger in the future. I recommend this book for anyone who is interested in politics, fiction, and likes to think critically.

    "Entertaining, but not fantastic!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

It's a god book. Entertaining and as much as I believe some area want to push the UN Agenda 21 program. I think the U.S. will collapse long before they could ever round up people (voluntarily at least) in this country. While entertaining, not very likely tHe US population would stand for it....although look at all the idiots still standing behind the incompetent Obama and his administration of lies, executive orders and tantrums....so maybe there is about 50% of this country stupid enough to go live in a commune (for the greater good) a line that makes me want to puke!"Praise be the republic"

Who was your favorite character and why?

    Emmeline of course!

    Which scene was your favorite?

    When Steven got shot finally!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really. The narration was really good though! In fact it probably was more enjoyable in audio format than in print thanks to the narrators.

    Any additional comments?

Good book, entertaining but not a Great book.I think the first Agenda 21 book was better.

    "Dissappointing"
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A more complex plot. This book took off from the first, but not nearly as innovative or exciting.

What was most disappointing about Glenn Beck’s story?

Not much happened. Two thirds of the book was devoted to the escape and running from the authorities

What didn’t you like about Jeremy Lowell and January LaVoy ’s performance?

January speaks like a little girl.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    no

    Any additional comments?

Sorry I wasted my time, when the original was so good and frightening.

    "Half the narration was good."

The female narrator, who performed about half the book, was a ho-hum performer. I had trouble getting past her to enjoy the story.

    "Excellent Series"

I must say that it took me less than a week to listen to both books. Growing up I didn't take an interest in history nor politics. I am now in my 40's and more awake and alert today by our crumbling nation and quite disgusted. this country was founded on GOD and freedom, while we all sit and watch our freedoms being taken away a little at a time. Thank you Glenn Beck for educating the American people. I will read more of your books in the near future.
