Zoey Daniels is becoming the very thing she once despised - fae. After Zoey and Ryker finally found their way to each other, they are torn apart by an ex-girlfriend, a stone, and mortality. Ryker's powers have fully adapted to Zoey, slowly killing him.
Now the mysterious feared demon, Vadik, has discovered their location in Peru and has taken Ryker and sold Zoey back to DMG. The very place which gave her life now might take it away. Or someone she loves…. Dr. Rapava is so obsessed with building an army against the fae, he will do anything to control Zoey and her newfound powers.
Zoey has to become an unfeeling, brainwashed soldier to survive. But when her survival depends on torturing one to keep another alive, she is forced to make the ultimate sacrifice. And neither choice is one she can live with.

The story is slowly creeping forward and when it finally shifts to a higher gear it stops. End of the book. Not a cliffhanger, the story stops. Very disappointing.
Yes!!! This series just keeps getting better and better each book. This third book has a surprise when you get to hear things from Rhyker's point of view halfway through with Zach narrating. Zach has such a sexy voice and he gives dimension and depth to Rhyker. Ugh! this series is so incredible!!!! I love it!
Jeanine Frosts books with Kat and Bones...
Yes! This one definitely doesn't disappoint!
Dungeon Desires, and Destiny- Kinda cheesy, but I think it sums up the book well!!!
Amazing!!!! I can't wait for the audio version of the next book!!!
Great, funny and thrilling
When Zoey falls through the ceiling and lands in someone crotch.... I couldn't stop laughing
both are great !
I am an avid reader and believe in good literature. All of my reviews aim to separate the good from the trash.
Yes, I would. If you are looking for a book to take with you to the beach or something for vacation reading, get this series. It has sex, passion, challenging situations for your favorite characters, a lot of questions, antagonists that remind you of some creepy old movies and very good storytelling.
I would have made it longer to give more depth to the newer characters and answer some additional questions about previously seen characters outside of the the two leads.
Zoey for Amy Landon. Zach gave Rhyker a voice that I wish we had for the prior books. But this is the first book that allows us to hear about events from Rhyker's point of view. This book also allows us to understand more about who Rhyker is. Well done. Oh, and the little monkey, Sprig has an adorable voice. I hope Amy also considers children's books if she isn't doing them already.
Not until I heard Zach's part. When I realized Rhyker had a voice, I wanted to hear it all.
I think that having two perspectives like this with such a simple plot line is VERY risk but Stacey pulls it off without a hitch. I've read books where it seems like the author just wanted to lengthen the book at the risk of me not continuing the series (some of which I didn't) just to get a few extra dollars out of me. This is definitely not the case here. I think what Stacey has accomplished in this book is complex even for the likes of the famed GRRM. But she does it well and I can't wait to hear the audio version of the final book.
