Solid fantasy, nothing special
Solid work and will come back to it when I run out of things to read. A definite cut above mediocre, but a step down from Dresden.

Ready for the next one!
Very good book, my only complaint is I felt some of the conflicts were prolonged a little too much. You think they’re about to kill a bad guy, but it doesn’t happen till after the 3rd or 4th time. I remember thinking, just get on with it already!
Very minor complaint, still a great series.

Great story, poor audiobook
Any additional comments?
Serious issues with quality.
1. Half way through the audiobook, trumpets begin to herald the need to change cds.
2. Chapters start repeating out of order (i.e. listen to chapter 20, 21 22, 20, 23, etc), again half-way through.
3. The chapter listing in the audible app doesn't match up with the actual chapters. So to navigate to chapter 48 I had to press chapter 56.
4. Whispersync doesn't work, and I have to spend far too much time trying to find my spot - whether I'm switching to the audiobook or the ebook. Again, this started happening half way through.
Needless to say, I will not be using Whispersync for the rest of the books in the series, and if the audiobook issues continue in book three, I will switch to ebook.

Near Perfect
A great story with a great reader! Kate Reading makes every character unique. Butcher writes an exciting tale with a well-developed world. Only complaint, the last several chapters were merged together strangely.

the story was great and inspiring but there were quite a few interruptions the recording skipped multiple times causing issues and missing multiple interaction between key characters
