Ritually murdered corpses are appearing across Cincinnati, terrifying amalgams of human and other. Easily my favorite of the series

I felt the series had been steadily going downhill until this one. Finally a complete "reboot" of the series. Rachael starts out essentially where she was in the first book of the series: a white witch (kinda) and she is taking contract "runs" to corral badguys.

The badguys are great too! Very evil humans trying to kill interlanders. I really really liked the story, I loved Trent's and Rachael's new relationship, and how Ivy (who was a boring character anyway) is being "phased out".

Bravo! I eagery await the next one in the series.

Perfectly imperfect

LOVED IT! This is a great addition to the series. The story arc is expanding with new & interesting characters. There are many tie-ins to past stories which I really like too. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Really enjoyed this one

I really like this Hollows novel. Less Rachel/ Ivy relationship, more Rachel/ Trent. Just wish there was more Jenks in this one. Overall liked this more than the last 2 books.

Marquerite Gavin's narration was great as always.

The Hollows is Great

This is my second time thru the series over the last 2 decades. Except for the time the narrator was changed I have enjoyed the series, however... In this book, Rachel's poor decisions made me wonder how she even made it out the door of the church during the day. She seemed more weak and whiney than in precious books. Oh well, maybe this was just a life crises book.

A Perfect Addition to the series!!!!

“A Perfect Story” It’s so worth 2 credits!!!! -I could not put this book down. I have been listening to this book non-stop. Wow what a journey! I Loved It. It’s really worth the 2 credits. I found myself cheering for Rachel. Yelling out loud when she did something I did not like. I laughed out loud so many times at the antics of Jenks that lost count. I wished happiness for Rachel and Trent as their relationship naturally progressed. Yes, I do mean naturally, not a speedy progression. I want to get to the good part too, but I really did enjoy seeing Rachel and Trent grow together. Kim Harrison knows how to weave a story with rich, well developed and believe characters. The characters have depth they are not shallow. If you have been following this series you will recognize the growth of all the players. I knew this was going to be a good series when I first read Dead Witch Walking. What I did not realize is that this series was going to be Epic and it is. Kim Harrison has delivered once again with A Perfect Blood. I am salivating already for book 11. If I have to pick a book out of the series to name as a favorite, I don’t think I could but the one that moved me most is the book in which Kisten died. I think I actually cried because of all the strong emotions. Kim Harrison is a master at boiling the emotional “plot” and book 10 is no exception. In retrospect, I would pay 3 credits to get this book. Harrison delivered!

A let down from Pale Demon

I was on a high when I got through reading "Pale Demon"."A Perfect Blood" started out with Rachel screwed up with who she was as usual. The new threat is humans, and there seems to be a mystery starting, with whom can be trusted. Characters seem to be moving along, on their own paths, away from Rachel. It did get more interesting toward the end, and I think the narrator could have been better. She seems to emphasize the wrong words in sentences, putting comas where they don't belong. Reading the books, is much more satisfying.
Spoiler alert==
What does bother me, is Rachel's relationship with Trent. It hasn't progressed in months, even though, it was left in a positive spot in "Pale Demon". (He lost fingers for her, in the previous book, and now we are back to nothing) Trent does seem to have this protective thing for her, showing up saving her from the newest group of bad guys, but it seems to go nowhere. He even states that he's not romantically attracted to her. So just what is going on? They play up Ceri and Trent raising these two babies, big happy family. Pierce is completely out of the picture, and it seems Rachel will never find any happiness again.

Wonderful!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely recommended! The narrator did a commendable job adding different vocal nuances to the various characters, and the storyline is fantastic, especially if you have been following the entire series.

a perfect addition to the series.

What a thriller. So much suspense. Can I just say "YAY" to Trent and Rachel getting closer. I have been waiting to long for the walls to start crumbling.

Rachel may not think her blood as perfect, but the evil members of a group intent on ridding the world want it. They think the can create a demon to destroy them all. They have no morals. They are where they are least expected. They won't stop until they have succeeded or until Rachel get involved.

The best thing about this story is it helps Rachel except who she is as a demon. The band she has been wearing since the end of last book needs to go. She is almost human as long as she wears it and the just won't do.

03/04/20 Grab the audiobook. You will be sitting on the edge of your seat throughout the latest adventure of Rachel Morgan. What a rush!!!!
