Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

Epic

I first started reading the eye of the world in the fall of 1990 when I was headed off to college and over the course of the years I would have to reread the whole series from start to the end of whatever book was coming out. so I have read the beginning several times but this is only the third time I have read the last book. Already trying to figure out how long I should wait before doing it all again

Rough start, but a surprsing fiinish

Where does A Memory of Light rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have always loved the wheel of time series. This one started out poorly and starts as Camlyn is being over run by the shadow. Afterwards I was able to jump in and enjoy the story, but had to catch up on the plot line that wasn't covered in the books.

If you’ve listened to books by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson before, how does this one compare?

Good, but had some questions on issues and thought somethings would need better finishing touches for those of us that have spent so long engrossed in the series.

What does Michael Kramer and Kate Reading bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They both have a wonderful way of being a story teller that keeps you listening, even when it's time to get some sleep.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would have loved too.

Any additional comments?

Just the rough start issue and some closings that were shockers.

Loved it

Over the past 2 years i have listened to the whole WOT series on my commute too and from work. Today, I finished A Memory of Light. To be honest I loved it. It provides a satisfying ending, moves at a blistering pace, and is genuinely enthralling. Sanderson really hit the mark. All that said, I am a bit torn. Mainly because over the last few years the characters have become like old friends. I am genuinely sad to know that I will not be listening to their adventures anymore.

RIP RJ. You brought an incredible story to the world.

A Fantastic Ending for a New Beginning

What did you love best about A Memory of Light?

It ended...
And what an ending it was. It is not very often that an author can bring such as huge epic saga to a close in a way that brings closure and satisfaction to the reader. Brandon Sanderson nails it.

Have you listened to any of Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Michael and Kate have done a fantastic job bringing so many characters to life. I am amazed that this dynamic team has been with the series from the beginning.

Unforgettable

What a stunningly emotional ending to an epic masterpiece! I have loved these books, and was concerned about being able to immerse myself into the characters as written by Brandon Sanderson in the way that I did in those books written by Robert Jordan. I needn't have worried; the writing was seamless, and as in many previous books, I found myself moved to tears, shouting at characters, and experiencing a gamut of profound emotions. Thank you Brandon, for completing this tale in a fashion true to the original author. And thanks to Robert's family, for selecting such a talented author to finish his legacy. You also selected wonderful narrators--Michael and Kate embodied the characters perfectly.
