Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

Probably the best ending ever made.

A Memory of Light is the best book I have ever read. The way it takes the enormous interpersonal complexities amalgamated throughout the previous 13 books and wraps it up while playing with expectations and yet losing nothing is baffling. I cannot sing praises loud enough in regards to this piece of fiction. All that I could say wouldn't be enough and in the end all I can do is smile. It is truely a masterpiece. For those not yet familiar to the Wheel of Time I say this: read it and find out.

A bit more

There are a few loose ends that need taken care of, wish Brandon Sanderson would expand these books. The stories are great!

Great end

This last book was a great wrap up of the series. My tears were shed, my laughs were laughed. I'm so thankful for talented authors to offer us entertainment and escape from our sometimes boring lives.

Loved This Ending!!

I know there is a lot of controversy concerning this ended but I thought it was done beautifully!! I'm glad Sanderson was the one to finish the series. The only complaint is that it's over and nothing is going to hold a candle to it.

A memory of Light. The culmination of the wheel of time series.

Though it is clear that Sanderson has a different storytelling frame than Jordan, this book does not fall short of any expectations or hopes the reader(listener) could possibly have. Jordan(and by extension Sanderson) will live on forever through this epic of epochs.

Magnificent finally to a great series.

I really loved this series and Brandon Sanderson did a great job bringing it to a breath taking conclusion. When Robert Jordon passed away, I was so sad because having come so far with these great characters I wanted to reach the end. If you feel like I did that Tolkein's Lord of the rings was too short Robert Jordan gives you an Epic to keep you entertained for months. It has kept me entertained for the years I have waited for this finally. He has created a facinating world with many varied cultures and customs. The adventure moves across continents and worlds as teenagers from a country village are swept up in the titanic strugle between good and evil with the survival of the world in the balance. There is magic and mind control, plots and conspiracies, luck and madness, with danger lurking around every corner. Lost knowledge is rediscovered but is it enough and is it in time to save the world. This is a saga that you just can't aford to miss. Check out volume 1, The Eye of the world and see if you can put it down!

I can't believe it is over.

Would you listen to A Memory of Light again? Why?

I picked up the eye of the world back in 1991 because it was thick and I liked the cover. Through all the years I would take a week off just to read the novel when they came out. I probably reread the series a dozen times now. I love the fact that it is so easy to relate to Rand, Perrin and Mat. I loved to read about them struggling with everyday problems.
And yes I would listen to AMOL again.

What did you like best about this story?

How Mat became a great captain in his own right.

What does Michael Kramer and Kate Reading bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The drama and they made me sit back and enjoy the story, instead of rushing through the novel like I did the first time around with all the books.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Egwene discoverd the answer to Balefire, and what it means to be the flame of Tar Valon.

Quite an amazing literary journey

By the time I got to he last three books I could not stop listening to this amazing tale! I was hooked by the first few books and then about book 6 I hit a bit of a lull as some of the detail dragged for me just a bit. A few of the middle books moved slower and with less action and I took a break for a few months. Then I came back and from book 10 on I could not stop and searched for every moment I could to reach what I knew would be an ending of sadness, triumph, and an needing which spoke of the beauty of life and the power of human interaction and love. Finding the ultimate importance of choice that is good or bad to create freedom was not totally unexpected but nonetheless a pleasant and profound way to end this awesome journey. Stick with it and you won't regret it. I'm so glad Brandon Sanderson was chosen to complete the series! He was the perfect writer and fan of this epic to to it justice. Thanks Robert and thanks Brandon for taking my imagination on such a fascinating journey!
