Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

a wonderful finale to an epic tale

I was nervous that the final book in this series wouldn't be able to deliver on completing the journey of Mat, Perrin, and of course Rand but it did and then some. I'm sad to be done but what a ride it was.

Worth more than a 5 star rating!!

Now, this final book in what is, in my not so humble opinion, the greatest series ever written, we finally come to The Last Battle. (And prepare yourself the chapter of the same name, it's a doozy! Over 9 hours long on Audio). Prepare yourself to feel every emotion possible, and to even shed a few tears. Prepare yourself for battles of epic proportion. Prepare yourself for true heroism and bravery. Prepare yourself for betrayal. Prepare for the Last Battle.

This book was everything I hoped it would be, and then some. I have nothing but praise for it. I wouldn't change so much a single comma, because then it wouldn't be the same book.

If you've stuck with the series thus far, then read on. If you haven't read any of the books yet, or only a few, then What Are You Doing Here?! Go back to the beginning. Read them all. Because yes, this series is massive, but it is amazing! I will be forever grateful to Robert Jordan for penning this series, and to Brandon Sanderson for finishing it upon Jordan's death and giving the fans closure and not leaving us hanging.

I will now try to piece my heart back together, and try not to judge other books too harshly when they try, and fail, to measure up to the magic and magnificence that is The Wheel of Time. Dovie'andi se tovya sagain.

Can't beat this read.

What made the experience of listening to A Memory of Light the most enjoyable?

An outstanding ending to a long but excellent series. Sanderson may even be better than Jordan in his writing.

Well done

Brandon Sanderson did a great job of finishing this series. And Michael Kramer was outstanding with Lan and Ran.

Exciting finish to the story.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, to any one who has been a fan of the series.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I don't think it would be possible, 40+ hours long!

Any additional comments?

Great end to a story I picked up over 15 years ago. Happy and sad that it is finally over. The hardest part was remembering story lines from reading the previous books when I was 18 y.o. but glad it came to an exciting finish.
