Publisher's summary

Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!

Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.

The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.

The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.

In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?

In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.

In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.

In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.

Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

Joining the chorus

Adding to the plethora of crazy "I love this book" reviews seems like overkill, but I loved this series, and I loved this book. My favorite characters were back for the Last Battle! Since Sanderson took over, May Robert Jordan rest in peace the series picked up some new vitality as it cruised to the Last Battle. 100's of characters, dozens of story lines come together here. The psycho struggle in Rand's mind has been cleared, he is on a mission and as only the Dragon Reborn can do he has to execute it. There is a lot of battles in Memory of Light, and while some of the plot lines with certain characters I would have enjoyed having more ultimately the story was Rand's and it was the culmination of years of audio listening, as well as struggle against the Dark Lord and the Forsaken.
I love Matt and we got more of him, and Peron was well done as the complex person that he is.

I would encourage anyone looking at this book to get it, as well as with the series. I did skip one book, 9th or 10th, as it was really dragging. But the last three were awesome.
And now as we know "the wheel weaves as the wheel wills"

a grand finale

Would you consider the audio edition of A Memory of Light to be better than the print version?

Don't know, I haven't read it.

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Memory of Light?

Won't give it away.

Which scene was your favorite?

Too many to mention.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Some of the loved characters die.

Any additional comments?

This is definitely the best book of the series. I usually play audio while I do work, this time I couldn't get anything done! I was too involved in the story and I'm already re-listening too. I am amazed at the job by Sanderson to bring the Wheel of Time full circle seamlessly after Jordan's death, but even more admiring of MRS Jordan who must have been crucial in keeping the style and story her husband created alive through to the end. She can be proud.

tremendous ending.

a man who was thrust into a war of great controversy creates a tangible world in which his reality and imagination contrive to create a world that both not only tells his own story of returning to his own self (after amputating his inner soldier) and coming to terms with his own mortality (following his having been diagnosed with a critical illness). This is an epic that elicits a great deal of emotional investment, and culminates in worthwhile dividends

The Last Battle!!!

What would have made A Memory of Light better?

Brandon Sanderson is genius. The only thing that could have made it better is if Robert Jordan wrote it himself. RIP

What do you think your next listen will be?

Eat and Run by Scott Jurek

Would you be willing to try another one of Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ’s performances?

Absolutely, I have listened to all of their Wheel of Time books and they are fantastic.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from A Memory of Light?

None!!! They were all necessary to build out the finish!

Any additional comments?

Loved and thanks Brandon Sanderson you are an amazing author.
