Best narrator

I have fallen in love with this series purely because of the talent of the narrator. He makes these books come to life!

TOO MUCH!!

Martin has an entirely unique universe established...it's almost tangible.

(although I always wondered how members of the same family can have different accents :-P

Great story but

I love the series and this one was no exception, but the reader pronounced the names of several characters differently throughout the book. I found myself correcting him the entire book and it seemed to pull away from the story.

I's in joyed dis a lot. Da talker was goot. I's liked hem a lot.
On a serious note, this has been a fascinating read. I have thoroughly enjoyed it along with many of Mr. Martin's books.

Same narrator different pronunciations suddenly?

How can you narrate 3 other books for a series over a long period of time and suddenly change the way you pronounce primary characters names? The inconsistency was glaring this book.

Change in voice and pronunciation

I love this narrator. He is amazing. I love that through the first three books of Game of Thrones I could hear one of his voices and know who was talking before he told me. I’m now on book four...he has completely changed the way characters sound. And changed the entire pronunciation of characters names..minor I know. But super frustration to me. Been on point for three 30-40 hour books in a row and now it changes. He is good but dang does it bother me.

i love these books the story is just a perfect mix

the mix of war, love, legend and death is so perfectly intertwined that it makes for a very pleasurable listen

I'm going to miss Roy Dotrice

Yes, some of the voices and name pronunciations changed between books, but overall it's still fantastic - I just hope they find someone equally talented to do the remaining books in the series.

A cracking good tale, well-performed.

Roy Dotrice, OBE, amply displays why his performance as an actor was worthy of a knighthood.
The tale is told beautifully.
I recommend 1.25x speed, though.
Interestingly, this book is short on Tyrion.
