I Didn't Quite Get It All

As of now, A Feast for Crows is without question the most dense and detailed book in the series. That’s not a bad thing by any means. However, there is so much happening, that if you are interrupted or get sidetracked you will be backtracking quite a few times. Being the lackwit that I am, this happened on several occasions.

I am sure that I still missed a lot of the holy shit moments that many of you easily picked up. That being said, I was still able to put a good portion of Crows together and on future listens, I might be able to have a decent conversation with you about some of the specifics that didn’t quite land flush on my chin

Incredible story as always

God I love this story. It’s so full of unexpected twists and turns beautiful genius writing g and I cannot get enough. The only thing I don’t love it the narrators pronunciation of some names words. Otherwise this one’s pretty perfect.

An excellent addition to a fascinating world. The world building of Martin is simply astounding.

I’m a Fan

Love the brutal, sad, cruel human story. Excellent character development. I’m a fan, read the books twice, now listen to them..

Great

I read the books before the show started. Then devoured the show (twice) and now going thru the audio books. The narration takes a different tone in this book from the previous ones but not a deal breaker. I still imagine all the characters’ voices from the show when i hear the book.

Can’t wait for the winds of winter

Love the series and am craving the winds of winter
Only thing I didn’t care for was , with a new narrator came different pronunciations

Why does he just not pronounce the names the same

The book is interesting, not quite as thrilling as the previous one, but worth the read. However, the fact he pronounces names differently or as entirely different names in parts for main characters is very disturbing and really pulls the listener out of the story.

it's alright. my least fav in the series though. but im excited for book 5

The sudden change of voices and names

Kate stark, young characters having weird accents not the same with the other reads. It’s just on the verge of being unbearable. Though I stuck with it and it’s well enough.

I am committed...

To getting through these books. Truly would have been an easier listen with a different narrator. Why does every new character sound like a leprechaun or slobbering drunk? Names were mispronounced, voices changed...I fast forwarded through some of it. I am committed to getting through book 5, but not sure I'll make it. Story line dragged at times, things in the books that wasn't in the show, I can see why. Some of the back story was helpful though. Here we go....
