Tired of the series

The narrator was excellent as he always is. I think I'm just tired of the series.

Roy, Roy, Why oh why did you murder Dolorous Ed?

Would you consider the audio edition of A Feast for Crows to be better than the print version?

As others have commented, many of the characters no longer sound like their former selves. I was seriously shocked and dismayed when my favorite character, Dolorous Ed shows up and sounds almost like The Old Bear did, all gruff instead of slow and slightly south-african sounding.

The recording also didn't have the same quality from the outset, though an hour into it you get used to it.

In general though the performance continues to be good, even though there feel like there are fewer voices than before...or at least they are all changed up.

With so many characters, it's easy to get mixed up

I love the portrayal, but he does mix up the pronunciation and occasionally forgets which voice he was using for characters. But overall, it's still a fantastic listen.

Roy Dotrice shines again

Another stellar performance from Roy Dotrice. After hearing him, it is hard to imagine the characters as anyone else.

Welcome back Roy Dotrice!!!!

I have read all of the Ice and Fire books and have been going back and listening to them on audio now as well. Roy Dotrice is the best narrator that I have EVER heard!!!! I was shocked and dismayed when I went to download A Feast For Crows a few years ago and discovered that there was a different narrator. I listened to a sample and was so disgusted that I never downloaded it. Apparently I wasn't the only one! He is back narrating the best book series that I have ever read. I would highly recommend this book and this audio version!

Pronunciation changes

When starting this book I had to pause it to make sure it was the same narrator because the way he pronounced character names changed. Hi voicing for some of the characters changed as well. The voices were easier to forgive than the change in pronunciation. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed A Feast for Crows.
