my favorite series, very engaging and interesting with a wonderful writer and narrator. cannot wait for the next one!

Don’t let others dissuade you

There are many reasons the book form of this narrative is far superior to other formats but I will only name one: internal monologue. Hearing Jon’s thoughts or Arya’s thoughts adds much and more to our understanding of their choices/motivations. Their thoughts pull at my heart strings when they remember each other or Ned. Jumping from character to character felt jarring when I read the first installment of ASOIAF but by now it feels necessary. I love hearing rumors and hearsay from across the realm. Ser Barristan appears to be written with respect for his legend and status. Although I have less hope, I still am excited if the final two books fall into my lap. I must have a conclusion to this song. Winter is here!!

Great book, poor performance

Always a great story line and I can't wait for the next book.....BUT...what the heck is going on with the storyteller and his inflections and voices of the people in the book? They flat out don't match the past books and some conversations within this book do not sound the same either.

A Dance with Dragons

I absolutely enjoyed this novel. Roy Dotrice brings all the characters to life with his wonderful rough voice. I wish the rest of the books were finished so I could keep listening to Roy. I pray George finishes them soon.

I hope winter comes.....

I love a song of ice and fire, and hope to hear the rest soon. I re- listened to the entire series, or tried, ahead of the lackluster TV show ( they should have adopted the krackens line). So much depth, I had to listen to parts multiple times.

Phenomenal narration. One of the best works of fiction of this generation. I've listened to this 3 times now and will again.
