Creepy mystery horror

I wanted to read spoilers to find out the storyline. Glad that I didn’t. The story just keeps tension going up and up.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

More specifically,
I went into this not knowing what to expect. The premise sounded promising so I gave it a shot.

What I found was writing that filled my mind with fully fleshed out imagery. I could see this strange building and it's residents so vividly.

The reading was excellent! The accents were consistent and even his female voices were believable and not at all filled with exaggerated feminine quality.

The mystery is methodical at first and slowly builds revealing snippets and shadows and rumors. It turns into research and exploration and the shift is perfectly timed and suddenly things take an interesting turn leaving you with that out of breath feeling of "what just happened?"

The characters are introduced and with very little effort they develop depth and the verity of people that occupy this space is refreshing.

I'm writing this review months after listening and I think about this story often. I'd love for it to get he miniseries treatment one day. I think it would play well to the medium.

So fun and entraining.

If you like Marvel Comics

The saving grace to this book were the
characters. Each had their own unique personality
and a comical sense. Tedious in parts and could
qualify somewhere between superhero and fantasy.

a Sci-Fi book hard to put down

very unusual sci-fi book I found it hard to stop listening to it. Nikola Tesla was a great scientist an engineer part of what's going on is his plan.

Phenomenal!!!

I love this author. I’ve read several of his books in this kept me in the story still guessing until near the very end. I love his effortless style and the characters that he creates. The narrator was also very good, he made the characters come to life.

Good book

Good book like the ending. Don’t want to spoil anything but well worth the time.

Kept me entertained

I needed a book to fill a gap between my series until the next book was out and thought this one seemed interesting. Overall good book, interesting story plot, typical character cast tho. I enjoyed how the author kept you questioning every little detail about the house, rental property. I would read more from the author not just as a filler book but for enjoyment.

Perfect Lovecraftian mystery

Absolutely wonderful. Just finished this and all I want to do is go back and read it again. I have been looking for a Lovecraft style story that slowly builds levels of mystery and dread. I was hooked on every word.

My favorite Clines/Porter story

Peter Clines is the best!! Always excellently done. Always unexpected things happen. So much detail & history woven together!! I love Ray Porters narration voices. Each character comes to life!

epic book epic story

I can't recommend this enough. great story. couldn't stop listening. I found it by searching the voice actor Ray Porter and it did not dissapoint.
