Really enjoyed this book, kept me engaged the plot
Great characters, story that moved along in unexpected directions. Ending was good. Peter Clines created a new world that is plausible.

Highly inventive storyline
This story is delightful. It is everything a story needs: interesting plot; unexpected twists; engaging characters and snappy, fresh dialogue that brings the characters into sharp relief. The interweaving of past historical figures is icing on the cake.
I had low to no expectations on this audio book. I'm happy to say it exceeded my expectations significantly. Two things I Really appreciate: 1. Not in first person; 2. No cliffhangers. It's a nice, tidy, sci-fi thriller worth the download.

not very demanding, but still enjoyed it
This was a fun, pretty straightforward urban/sci-fi/fantasy (I'm not sure how to classify it exactly) story. It's kind of steam-punky (there's a back story with Nikola Tesla in it) but set in modern LA. It was easy to listen to and kept me distracted for a few days at the gym. I didn't stay up late to finish it or feel any pressing urge to know what was going to happen next, but sometimes that's the kind of book I like to read.

A story to open you eyes...
While I'm a fiction lover, I understand that most fiction is derived from imagination. The author does a great job adding aspects to the story that could in fact be non-fiction.
Narrator: does a great job portraying different characters!
Overall: a great listen. I found myself a new author!

Great story to listen to

fun story, likes it alot!
wasnt sure if I would like it or not but I enjoyed it alot! Got me through a few afternoons of dishes & trying to block out the screaming of my kids blasting off in their own building to far off lands.
