I never put iPod downs!

This book is THE best thing I've read in a while. I wrecked my plan to make it last a month. Try 4 days every possible minute. 14 was like a drug I HAD to have more of. The cast was perfect. Porter's a genius with the voices. I tell you, the beginning was so good I feared that the end could not possibly live up to the ride. Never been so happy to be wrong in my life. A few too many F-bombs for my personal taste, but a minor observation. Read this book!!

The plot line is great. Not full of surprises but everything make senses and nothing's cliche. The story and characters are well thought and well developed.

It is also well narrated which make the whole book very engaging! Personally not a big fan of sci-fi but I just can't stop listening!

Sci Fi mystery morphs into a thriller

The first part of the story develops the characters by leading them on a curious mystery. The second part is a chilling thriller that will test your tolerance for weirdness.

Well worth the read.

Great characters with a witty dialogue. The storyline keeps u guessing the whole way through.

Cool story

This was different, interesting twist on te alternate universe idea. Definitely a fun listen. I plan on checking out more by this author.

Where does 14 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

One of the most surprising books I've listened to on audible. It does not go where you think it might and keeps you wondering until the end.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the characters and wanted to find out what happened to all of them. Normally, when several people are introduced in a story, I get annoyed trying to keep up with everyone's details, but this book is easy to follow and you want to know what is happening next.

Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but the performance was great. I liked his different voices and accents- it is actually funny at times.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

No clue, this book is so bizzare, I think a movie would be ridiculous.

Listen to it until the end. Just when you think it's bizzare, keep listening.... it gets even weirder!

Possibly. It seems to fit todays trend.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The vacuum of being drawn into outer space.

I didn't realize it was going to be a sci fi book as that's not my favorite genre, but I was captivated and easily stayed to the end.

Excellent story with Lovecraftian Flare

What did you like best about this story?

This is a very fun story, appropriately creepy, paid homage to Lovecraft's foundations to horror but expanded on the story concept in a way that was both interesting and satisfying. The characters were relateable and I found myself easily envisioning the situations as they arose. I really enjoyed this book

Great characters and dialogue ruined by "monsters"

The characters and dialogue were great. I loved the development of personalities and the verbal exchanges. Generally I really liked the book until it moved into the realm of fantasy. Then it became very typical, and frankly, ruined.

A Little Predictable... But Very Fun

The book was fun. however become a little predictable at times. but was happy overall
