Engaging
This book has an exciting mystery that drives a large portion of of the narrative.
The final act goes in a very different direction than I wanted or anticipated at the beginning but I was content with it.
Without giving too much away. Fans of paranormal mystery and horror will enjoy it.

Great story!Takes its time, but hits a dark edge!
I want sir where the story was going at first, but loved the interaction of all the different characters. Once it hits the mystery of what's happening, it catches its stride. Wouldn't mind a sequel tho too feel in some gaps!

This. Was. Amazing.
This book was the first of this author's that I've ever read and I'm so ecstatic that I have found him. My only complaint is that the book was only 12 hours long. I felt like this story could have been The Goonies as adults with much more to the villain and I loved every second of it.

A engaging story
This was my very first audio book and I loved it. The narration seemed a bit fast at first but overall it was captivating. The book really picks up in the second half for a thrilling climax

amazing!!!
This is one of the best books I have read in a very long time. I read a lot of horror/suspense and thought this was going to be much like the rest. What a pleasant surprise!!!! Great character development, storyline was fresh and I had no idea where it was going to go. Hooked from beginning to end and now looking forward to discovering more from this author.

Awesome book!
I liked the story a lot. It wasn't as weird as some other reviews led me to believe it would be. In fact I think it would have been cool had there been MORE weirdness to it. It's a fun book to read.

Only if you really like sic-fi
I like mysteries and can even like them when they have a science fiction element, but this was not a very good mystery and the sci-fi was just too preposterous. There are many characters pretty well drawn and likable -- it was easy to keep track of them because they had pretty stock attributes to differentiate them. But the story just kept getting more and more outrageous and uninteresting. If I hadn't been on a long car trip with nothing else to listen to I would not have finished it.
