An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Great book!
I'll be honest I had a hard time getting into this book at first. It was good but my attention would drift a bit. I started to force my way thru it and was glad I did. It turned out to be an awesome story. It was a deep layered story which is worth the time if you give it a chance.

One of my favorites!!
This is the second time I've listened to this book. It's that good for me. The narrator makes the story come to life. It will make you laugh, cry and take you back to a simpler time but also this is a Stephen King Novel so be prepared. I highly recommend it.

may be SK'S best yet...not just for avid fans!
been a fan of Mr Kings for as long as anyone. love almost all of his works and at least appreciated the rest. ...that said, this book is a departure (don't worry there is strangeness here ) but the blend of history and what if. ... and especially how you get from one to the other. ..with th love and care is actually amazing. ...a definite must read. . not just for fans but especially for those who may not be avid fans!

As a Constant Reader (and now a Constant Listener) I love this book. It has just enough sci-fi to make it thrilling and all the usual suspense we've come to expect from our beloved SK. I really enjoyed Craig Wasson's performance. He kept me fully immersed in the story. He's a talented story teller.

Thank you for writing such an awesome book. All of your books are super good for different reasons. This is one of my favorites because it spoke to me on many levels. I also had the luck to see JFK in person as a young girl and I remember it like it was yesterday
