An 11-year-old boy's violated corpse is found in a town park. Eyewitnesses and fingerprints point unmistakably to one of Flint City's most popular citizens. He is Terry Maitland, Little League coach, English teacher, husband, and father of two girls. Detective Ralph Anderson, whose son Maitland once coached, orders a quick and very public arrest. Maitland has an alibi, but Anderson and the district attorney soon add DNA evidence to go with the fingerprints and witnesses. Their case seems ironclad.

Great book!
If you are a fan of time travel, pick this book up! This is one of my favorite books and I think a lot of it is due to Craig Wasson's performance. I've listened to this book multiple times and it's 30 hours and 40 minutes long! I don't want to spoil anything, just pick it up, Audible will let you return it if you don't like it!

The best book I have EVER read (listened to)!!!!!
Wow, just wow. I have read almost every Stephen King book, and this one is by far my favorite of his, and probably my favorite book of all time. From the very first word to the very last, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to hear more. I stayed up late and woke up early to increase my listening time. Narrator Craig Wasson is incredibly talented and I never felt a twinge of annoyance at his performance, which I usually do feel with most narrators. The story is gripping, fascinating, and emotional...I definitely shed a few tears during this book. The ending is absolutely perfect--an ideal culmination of the time-travel story as well as a heart-rending exploration of the depths of human relationships. The historical aspect to the book was very interesting and made me want to learn more about the actual events and characters involved. Overall, this literary triumph is a perfect blend of history, fantasy, human interest, and damn fine storytelling. You will be glad you had this experience.

Great read!
We all know that time travel into the past is impossible. Going back in time and change a major historic event would have so many implication.
King captures this in his novel perfectly. The idea that time would fight back and attempt to thwart changes is well thought out.
What I like most about the book is the ending. It is the only possible ending.
The narrator did a great job reading the book. Overall a great listening experience!

The best SK I've come across. Great historical detail threaded through an excellent story line. The author has a knack of making you feel you're right there, and this book is no different. None of the awful (though delicious) creepiness here; I didn't want this one to end.

And I really liked the Hulu Original. This book was exciting and emotional. The performance was very good, I didn't find myself missing Franco's character, with few exceptions. Recommended

The Quintessential JFK book
whether you're a cospiracy theorist a lone gunman adherent or don't care one way or another you'll be mesmerized by the gorgeous nostalgia redolent scents and sights and sounds of New England as well as Texas and truly fascinated by the sultry dangerous south throughout this epic tome
